This was fun. I played it all the way to the end. It's missing some sound effects here and there, like when you attack and die but the music is really really cool. Loved the graphics, really enjoyed the riddles and puzzles, enjoyed the challenge of the barrels to try and traverse the fire. Its great. This is the kind of game that if you add to it and keep building, you could probably upload to a webgame platform and actually monetize. Good job.
It's interesting to play. Great job!
Thanks a lot!!
Very cool 2D video game.
It has a bit of Castlevania ;)
Too big a compliment lol
Such an awesome game! The riddles are really well written, and I really enjoy the varied gameplay. The clues are well placed for the player to discover next steps, and the gameplay flows well. I'm really drawn in by the graphics, and the music also matches quite well! Can't wait to see where this goes!
Thanks a lot for playing!
This was a fun game! It took me a little while to get into it, but after solving the first puzzle, I was hooked. Excellent execution of the theme, and the overall atmosphere is quite charming, enhanced by the beautiful music. As for suggestions, I’d recommend making the camera transitions smoother, as they currently feel a bit too abrupt. Overall, a bit of extra polish would elevate the experience, but considering this was made within a limited timeframe, it’s already impressive. Great job!
Thanks a lot for playing!! Feedback noted!!
Nice game!! I really liked being able to interact with the elements. the use of the camera makes it a little dizzy haha
Hi ! Thanks for playing! Will fix the camera movement!
Very cute game! It needs a lot of technical polish, a few improvements I can suggest is turning off texture filtering, adding canvas item resolution scaling, and maybe also adding more sound effects. I wasn’t able to tell when I was damaging enemies because there were no particles or sound effects for it. I almost forgot to mention that when pushing things, your character should move with the object you’re pushing. Like others mentioned, fixing the camera would be nice too. Despite all this, I really like the idea and even the gameplay that is already included here. I hope you do make it into a full game, I’d love to see it.
I will check how the game looks without texture filtering! Thanks for the tip. More sound effects were planned but we had time constraints. I agree there should have been some hit flash effect at least. Thanks for the detailed feedback! Will surely work on them!
So cute! I really liked the vibe, the story and the rhymes! Maybe the camera was a bit jarring when moving left immediately after moving right, but I had a great time playing this :D
Thanks for playing! The camera drag feedback is something we are receiving now from a number of people. Will surely tweak the drag smoothness!
Great work on your game! I loved the art style and I think the color scheme was amazing. It was a little disorienting to use space as attack and not jump but I got used to it after a few minutes.
Thanks for playing! Received the same feedback regarding space from a friend too. Will see if i can map it to Z/X/C
Neat writing and aestethic, I'm definitely too dummy thicc for this tho, I couldn't figure out the fire puzzle.
Good regardless!
I will post a walkthrough soon and tag you here !
Quite a fun and charming game! I loved the little rhyming riddles, and they gave me a good idea of what I needed to do without spoiling the whole thing. The physics based interactive objects were fun to play around with too, and I would love to see more of them in the final game! My only suggestions would be to make the camera movement a bit more subtle, and to add more sound effects. Other than that, great game!
Thanks a lot for playing! Will be working on your feedback!
Aria is adorable, I loved the art work and music. The writing was great and gave enough of a hint to help me figure out what to do and complete the demo. Overall great game, my only issue was the camera movement, it was a little fast at following Aria when moving back and forth through sections and made me a bit dizzy.
Noted! Thanks a lot for the feedback. Will try to tweak the drag speed to make the camera movements smoother. Thanks for playing!
Love the artwork and the puzzles! The gameplay is short but polished. The elements used and the color palettes build up an ancient, mysterious atmosphere perfectly.
Thanks a lot! Hope we can fix the existing bugs and release e bigger version of the game!
Nice short game! Great choice of art & music, ended up very atmospheric. The puzzles were very simple, but I guess in this case it just gives you a sense of solving puzzles without having to think hard about it, so the game ended up quite relaxing. I quite enjoyed it.
I had a little trouble figuring out how to enter numbers, before realizing those squares are input boxes that are supposed to be clicked.
Thanks a lot! Will have to figure out a way so that the input boxes are more intuitive. The puzzles are sorta hardcoded for now lol. Thanks for playing!
Lovely experience! Loved the characters and the art. Perfect challenge level to draw me in and leave me wanting more. Great job!
Thanks a lot!! Cluedomancer is one of my favorite GameOff submissions till now!
Really nice character art and music.
Thanks a lot! But credits to the respective creators for making these available for free.
I like the asthetics of the game and the music is pretty chill. Sometimes the sword attack doesn't come through i think.
For the sword attack you need to just keep the space bar pressed instead of tapping it repeatedly. I thought this would make it easier to play but many of my friends struggled to understand that too. I dont know how to make it clear :( May be a better tutorial section will help. Thanks for playing our game!
Made it to the end. Didn't run into any problem.
Really nice graphics and character design.
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving feedback!
really nice use of puzzles integrated into the level, and great graphics and intersting level design - but hard-locks due to bugs frequently (first 10 seconds one crate got 'stuck' and prevented me from interacting with either), then again in first 60 seconds (died after collecting jewel, it didnt respawn, and now I had no jewel))
Hi, you wont have to collect the jewel again if you have already collected it. Should have added an UI mentioning collectibles. Feedback noted. Will fix the crate related bug after the jam. Thanks a lot for playing and leaving a feedback!
I really liked the visuals and graphics of the game.
But I had a problem with the inputs (not a bug).
I was moving the character with WASD and it is very weird to interact with the E key.
Also a little more feedback of the impact during fights would be nice :)
The implementation of the secret theme was very well done.
Feedback noted! Thanks a lot!
