It’s so satisfying to cut the animals. It was a fun game to play. Good job.
Man, I really enjoyed the design of this game. Cutting the animals is pretty satisfying, and the game has a nice difficulty curve to it. The audio is also pretty cool and the cutting mechanic too.
apart from the idea of a high score, I think the game would benefit from a timer to serve the clients, to avoid "camping" and waiting for the perfect 0 risk opportunity. It would work with the theme of the game, as to not make the customers wait.
Another thing I would change would be the visibility of the order. the fact it is in the corner of the screen makes it not very "in your face" and forces you to shift your focus every order to that corner of the screen instead of keeping focus on the conveyor belt. Im pretty sure you could fiddle with different ways to make it a lot more "in your face" and finding ways to make it visible without having to shift focus from the conveyor, say a slightly transparent upscaled popup in the middle of the screen.
Anyway, awesome game and well done on contributing to the game jam!
Oni-chan! while cutting cute animals. Makes the game rather fit a horror Japanese game. XD Very satisfying to cut the cute animals and music banger! XD
Fun gameplay loop! Everything is quite balanced and the controls work very well. I surprised myself how well I was able to slice what I was looking for ever when the belt was moving that quickly!
Is there an end or is a high score game?
Much appreciate the feedback and great to hear you had fun with it. Unfortunately we didn't get so far in the two-day limit we had given ourselves to evolve it to include a highscore feature. Would've loved to go further and implement combos as well as make this work for mobile that would've fit well for slicing.
