  • I am Survivor is a game with a really cool concept, is where the wave is you, sending zombies one by one to human shooter. Each round you get new zombie choices to upgrade and depending on the enemy, you have variety of strategies to use. I'd love to see full version of this game!

Nice fun game. Enjoyed the different types of zombies you can choose from.

interesting gameplay i really enjoyed the game.

Really fun game, and I liked the twist of controlling the zombies to defeat heroes. One suggestion would be to add a way to easily switch between the zombie types. As the game got more difficult, I often found by the team I clicked on a new zombie type all of my other zombies were dead.

Yeah, I watched a friend play it the day before the deadline and saw the same thing. But on that last day I just couldn't bring myself to add anything more to the game so close to closing. Im planning for a little post jam release to add that. Thanks for playing.

I miss some times the back button? :). good game

Developer

Yeah some kind of restart button would have ideal. Thanks for playing.

This is awesome!! I wish it went longer and got harder, would love to play it as a full game :). Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, im glad you enjoyed it. I think we have a vauge plan to do a post jam build to fix a lot of issues and make the game longer and more replayable, so you might have an opportunity to play a full version of this. Thanks for playing.

A pro zombie apocalypse game with quirky music and a fun art style! I quite enjoyed playing this. Solid gameplay and hilarious SFX ... Would have loved to have something to keep track of damage or even an indicator for level of infection (a health bar) etc.

Developer

Hi, im glad you enjoyed it. There are health bars on the heros, but they're very small, and the green colour means they get drowned out in the background. If I was to have another crack at it I would defiantly make it clearer. Thanks for playing.

Fun little game, wanted to be longer ;)

(the immortal zombie is a game breaker for the sniper as it keep the focus haha)

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, the way the targeting code is supposed to work is that it will just shoot at the nearest target. Which it does do, if you place the immortal zombie above or below the sniper (I think). But it doesn't if its to the left or of the sniper. I'll look at that at some point. Thanks for playing.

Fun little game, although I'm not sure how it relates to the theme of Power?

Developer (1 edit)

I'm glad  you found it fun. The game links to the theme of Power by being about defeating powerful heros.

Pretty cool to achieve so much in so little. Thanks for open sourcing the game.

Very solid entry. I really liked the idea and it is a fun experience to spawn hordes of zombies. Here are some things I would improve:

  • Add keyboard controls to select the type of zombie. In this way you can focus more with the mouse on spawning them at the right place and changing between types of zombies faster.
  • After you died there should be a retry functionality.
  • I would also enable fullscreen play on your itch.io page.

Anyway, I had fun playing this. Congrats to this game!

Developer

Thanks for playing, and thanks for the advise. I've never used phaser before, so i wasnt too sure what adding a full screen function would do to change the visuals of the game. So I decided to just leave it. But its something I'll look into for next time.

Short and sweet! Well done, that was a fun game. Love the execution.

Really good game! The gameplay was smooth, and the graphics were impressive

Nice Game

Thank you, thanks for playing

Interesting little game! I couldn’t find a strategy other than just spamming as many of the newest upgrade as I could, but it seems to work. I think there was some issue with the font though because for any counters/timers it was showing symbols instead of numbers. Overall though nice job!

Developer

Hi, thanks for playing. That's interesting about the text, out of curiosity, what browser did you play it on?

Submitted(+1)

Firefox v125 on Linux. I think the issue is that you were using “fantasy” as a fallback for you text objects, and on Linux I think that goes to Webdings (which is what I was seeing).

This was pretty fun, I like the number of options of zombies you get, and the music is a realy good fit, frantic but fun.

It would be great if the healthbars a red background so you could see how much health has been lost (I couldn’t tell if my zombies wer working at first!).

Great work!

Developer(+1)

Im glad you enjoyed it. I agree with you on the healthbars, it could of definitely been clearer. Our original plan was to have it change colour depending on health level. But I ended up not going back to it. Thanks for playing.
