- GDJS 2024 - The Devils Food Joint is delicious but also scary restaurant game where you keep your restaurant active and making sure you feed the devils nicely! Visuals are giving its vibe, do not shake while cooking, it might be deadly food! I'd love to see more variety of food with different devil clients(!)

LOVED it, art and all. Ik u didnt have time for audio but maybe in the future, because the management in this is very fun!
I f loved it<3
Art style is neat! I like how there are different cook states for each food item and being able to stack items is interesting. I stacked an amalgamation of dragon claws, goat eyes and buns from hell up to heaven!
Took me a while to figure that you can only stack bottom up.
The devils (aka flies from beethezub) are coming too slow and the lack of audio kinda kills the feeling.
They are coming so slow and a timer showing for meat cooking would be good.
Kinda nice concept. Looking forward to drinks update.
(btw they like burnt burgers huh ?)
Great game! I truly enjoyed the concept of varying cooking levels for the meat. Incorporating sound effects would further enhance the immersive experience and elevate the game design. In summary, an exceptionally well-crafted game.
The devils look so cool. I wish there were more of them! I found the game a little easy which made me start to lose interest. Maybe the days can be shorter or the difficulty can ramp up faster. On day three there are two different items named soul top, I just say that in case you didn't know, I know some bugs are to be expected. I really liked the setting and concept, keep it up!
Thanks for playing and the feedback!
Yeah, all of those are coming from the last minute additions to make the game playable – like copying and paste the ingredients and moving to the next thing.
Nice game. I really liked the idea of having different cooking levels for the meat and the "Results for day x" screen. Some feedback to maybe improve the game:
I can see that a lot of work went into the game and I really think it paid out. This is a very solid entry, unfortunately it does not fit the theme. Congrats to your entry!
Thanks for playing and the feedback!
Hey cool game, the timing is very short and the game crashed on day 2 to me, but well done game !
Thanks for playing! I added the days progressions and dialog last minute and now people suffer the consequences from the lack of testing :P
Looks very nice! I definitely enjoy taking customers' orders and making food. I think adding sound effects would improve the game design and make it even cooler to play! Well done!
Thanks for playing! I’m yet to find time to add sound to my games in jams :)
Good game, but i little confused with order.
Love it. I wanted to make a game like this for a previous jam, but with pizza. Well done, would love to see you do some more work on this. The game crashed on day 3 for me btw. Good work.
Thanks for playing it! Yeah, I’m sure I left some mouse state with the UI and thus it breaks the dialog that progresses the day :(
Am I crazy, or are some correct orders getting marked as incorrect? I thought I was doing everything right but they would still mark some of my orders as red.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I think the first thing I’d need to work is give the reason for the red order. If you did it correctly in order, and got a red, it was probably (if there’s no bugs) because of the timing – you need to deliver it before they wait half of the time.
Took me a minute to figure out that timing was my problem too. I kept thinking I was getting the order wrong. A different indicator for an unhappy customer would be killer. Overall though I had such a good time playing this game! Great job!
This game made me very hungry. nice work
Thanks :)
