Adding a WASD control would be nice. Otherwise, the rockman vibes are too strong.

I need Rockman Battle Network now

You managed to make a rthyum game and then a platfomer out of this jam ?? This is kinda awesome tho I want the platform to be easier.

I cannot really give high score for gameplay since I cannot even get past the first spike.

Sprite and the tilemap looks cool.

BG tune is also spooky and I pretty like it,

Cannot really say NES feel as I never played NES game before.

Better to tone down the difficulty and make the wall less bumpy.

The game is beautiful so far with not much to do. I can only graze grass and maybe watch the villagers do their thing,

Otherwise, I am looking forward to the further development of this game.

This game looks so big and I feel my comments cannot live up to the vastness of the game.

The design is pretty nostalgic. Reminds me of playing the ancient version of Legend of Zelda game (albeit I did not finish one).

And yeah the bump mechanic is pretty frustrating for me as the enemy keeps charging to me and I don't want to risk HP to keep the game going. I prob need an assist mode to keep exploring the game.

In mobile the game runs smoothly but the controls to me is a bit wonky. Probably too used to fast movements.

Overall this is easily a champion in this game jam and I am looking forward to finish this later. ( along with my other backlogs.)

It seems the overlay that I put there did not fade out. It should be navigating back to the main menu as I have no time to make a 2nd one :-(

The page is already making me give 5 stars without playing the game lmao.

Felt a bit sad that I have to kill the guys there. Can I choose not to ? Will there be an alternate ending ?

Is this some CSS magic that you did to your page ? I am now pretty curious how you do it .

The cute is game and good is the presentation. The audio kinda fits the theme.

Too bad the flying boots are really OP in traveling back to the picnic.

Overall the presentation is amazing. It will be great if it keep tracks how many times I revived. I die a few times haha.
The rat king is kinda a great fight. Found out I can stun him indef by spamming the wand button.

Sorry for that. The game has been made in a rush.  Will update the game page for instructions. The origin intent is to make a puzzle game that the protag has to follow the villain's orders in order to proceed.

Congrats on the 2nd place too. I love the background and the goofy little robot. So I like the line tweening of the robot as well.

Controls are feeling great. I like the dialog effects, tweens and the sprites.

You said you lost direction but this can be a simple survivors game.

Obtaining different wands and passive powers would be great.

For the dialog I suggest make the CONTINUE button finish loading the dialog instead of skipping it.

The effects are good here, so looking forward to your MVP

Love the unique art style here

This game just make me depressed that I am not a good typer.

The buttons in main menu are scaled up pretty weirdly when pointer is hovered over. Should've scale in the center.

SE like dealing damage would make the game feel better.

I lost at Moderate first time ahhh.

(1 edit)

The main menu button is already fun to interact. I like how the circuit flows with the button.

The levels are pretty challenging for me.

It took me a while to figure out how to time the traps.

One nice change would be only activating the shooters when it is on screen.

I managed to get to 25

The music and the starting screen is already a banger to me.

I love the color palette of your art here.

The plasma animation is so good.

I think WASD keys are available so I went there lmao.

The death explosion is awesome tho.

The arrow keys are hard to control.

Shields and the beam are great really.

Thanks. And also thank you for your tutorial on watermelon game with planck and phaser. It helps me a lot with making this game.

The cover art and the environment are really cool and matches the theme

However I got softlocked after defeating the first enemy. I get enough blue crystals for only 1 wrap.

In this case you should make a blue crystal spawner so that your player wont get soft-locked.

Gameplay wise it is cool but the resources economy need more effort.

The planet animation and the logo is pretty amazing. The robot and the environment is also pretty cute too.

However the difficulty spikes kinda put players off. The player can only take fall damage and there are no ways to avoid. Part of the traps are not obvious enough for players to dodge.

Spiking the difficult too high then most players cannot really access the rest of your content. Beware of that.

Liked the darkness that you did there. I hope the spikes interaction can be more forgiving. Also the player is too floaty so you can maybe make the gravity stronger.

Managed to get to a treasure chest and then .

Love the dungeon art and the treasure chest art.

Excellent work on the laser-impact effects, SE ,  and audio.

For my taste I kinda prefer cards-dealing instead of dealing with the panel.

Also some indicator-text that shows the robot left hand and right hand would be great.

A preview of your steps will also be a good quality of life change.

Still on the first level stho.

Echoing with Coraz_n's commets, Coyote time will make players less raging about this.

The conveyor belts are too hidden it is hard to tell without some animation and helper text.

I got stuck at the conveyor belt and immediately gave up.

I dont know what to do with the generators to be really honest.

I love you spent time designing the cutscene to TROLL us LMAO. And a "skip-cut-scene" button is also a nice quality-of-life.

The music fits the cut scene as well.

Guess I don't need to play your game to know it is good. (JK ofcz)

So for the game, it is really joyful and Im gonna pretend Im dont know Chinese lmao

BTW "power troll" does seem pronounce like "Balatro".

The mechanic is to toss power-ups to NPC and let them do their thing. This is a pretty cool mechanic. Just like goose game.

The bird keeps taking the rock and I cannot even pick up the vase,

Also a warning box of the lighting would be better for player, tho I doubt the player is fast enough to react.

The art style and animations are sort fluid tho and yeah Sisphyos design is pretty cool.

Having a control that I can pick up the vases would be cool.

Liking the spines animation too

Took me a while to figure that you can only stack bottom up.

The devils (aka flies from beethezub) are coming too slow and the lack of audio kinda kills the feeling.

They are coming so slow and a timer showing for meat cooking would be good.

Kinda nice concept. Looking forward to drinks update.

(btw they like burnt burgers huh  ?)

Entertaining piece of puzzle game. The game is bit challenging as well.

The floor can be a bit brighter for clarity.

I like how you add devlogs to your page too,  just like me. The undo button is also neat as well, but having a limit steps of undo does help.

Im stuck at Lv 5

So "Z" allows you to pull

Gonna love the graphics and display of this game.

The palette is just a joy to see.  And the UI is so polished make me doubt if this is a jam game..

Good job. Even the hub is great to navigate.

The click itself is satisfying and the the tweens are wonderful too. The prompt is silly and audio is goofy.

I am gonna blame you for me carpi tunnel.

The "guessing the mechanic" looks kinda fun tho.

The audio and the BGM also fits the art as well.

If only there animation to the firefly it would be much better

The graphics are kinda clean (though the lack of shadows does make the game look odd).

Managed to get to the first 3 levels but sorry I got bored as there are no new mechanics to introduce.

Having 1 player to control the NPC kinda makes the NPC feels controllable ??? it feels kinda odd.

Anyways the game feels OK for your first time and looking forward to see this concept getting more refined.

TBH I am not used to these controls. (pretty hate it to be frankly)

I like to have the "W" key for jumping coz it is better for my hand.

The POGO is pretty hard to perform since the enemy is also moving on your screen when you try to aim.

Pretty hard for me to get thru the level.

The checkpoints are nice though.

Music kinda fits and the punching really delivers the power, especially the animations. Well done,

( I prob suck a lot with platformers...)

I am not used to the controls so timing the jumps are hard. I miss controller.

I could not get past level 2 as there are not enough space for me to maneuver.

Prob make the starting levels easier plsss.

The concept of designing your level but being forced on certain level is quite interesting.

And also like how each time the starting level is different.

Even though they are all squares you managed to design a world that fit.

The screen shake and UI are pretty satisfying.

Though I am not a fan of the background music. Too noisy for my taste.

Overall gameplay is fun and I had a fun time dodging the enemies lmao

Ah. Thank you for the alert. I have fixed the visibility now.

Im impressed how you used littlejs to make a 3D shooter game. I gotta learn

I cannot find the other shield and the starting one is just hard to control...

I like spleesh sound when the enemy is splatted btw.

I guess the right text thing is your debug console that somehow got pushed to main ???

Audio is OK but this feels kinda like a regular vampire survivors tho...

The shaders and the SE are pretty good.

Tho I am already stuck on the desktop screen and the lack of visual hints does quickly put me off and makes me wanna move on.

I get you want to do the "THERE IS NO GAME" kind of thing and the lack of narrative and content does bore players quickly....

yeah. it makes a pretty good screensaver right :-)

The card-fan tween animation I felt it is a thing that I need to learn.

Love the coding game aspect of this puzzle and it really burns my brain zzzzzz...

Great BG. Soothing music. Cute robot. Collecting POWER. So polished.

BTW are the cards randomly drawn after each play ? Having an UI to show which cards appear might help ?
