Wow, what an impressive entry. Great art, great music, great sound, great game idea! I am really impressed on what you were able to do in this game jam. Also the itch.io page is beautiful. The only thing I realized is, that there are still some bugs:

  • When you hover over the tiles, sometimes more than one tile is highlighted.
  • Sometimes my clicks were not registered. I had to click often twice on the tiles. Especially with the teleport.
  • In the third level I got once a "Swap" instead of a "Teleport" and I could not do anything with it. Maybe I just did not understand how it works.

I would probably make the cards white and not transparent. With the style you use now, it felt like they were inactive.

Anyway, this is one of the best entries! Very polished and plays well. Congrats!

Thanks Bud!

Great looking game! I also got stuck by accidentally creating swap cards before the mechanic was explained, and was confused. Is the a way to undo combining the cards? I really liked the way the cards made you think about how to move through the stage. Would love to see this expanded. Great work!

Developer

In the current version, there isn’t an undo button available for the combine mechanic. However, I’ve addressed this issue in a recent patch and plan to introduce additional content for the game once the game jam concludes. Your feedback is immensely appreciated. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Your game looks very interesting but couldn't figure out how to use teleport (or swap?) to move near the door.

Developer

Teleport and Swap are two distinct cards. Swap enables you to exchange your body with another entity, while Teleportation allows you to instantaneously traverse sizable distances.

OK, I got it now. Think of making the combination of two cards more obvious, because it was difficult for me to understand why my teleport card was turned into a swap card. I passed several levels. Very playable game and with a unique atmosphere. Well done!

Fantastic atmosphere! Nice character design and the teleport blade feels great, plus the game page itself is a nice touch.

Though I got stuck for quite some time after accidentally creating Swap cards in early levels before the mechanic was even explained. Perhaps a way to unbind cards would be nice!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I’m glad you enjoyed the atmosphere. I appreciate your suggestion about unbinding cards; that’s definitely something worth considering to improve the overall experience.
