This game evokes a lot of emotion and the music you chose really enhanced the feelings a lot. It's simple and direct, and the visuals are pleasing to look at despite being relatively basic. I like the storytelling a lot :) I have no major criticisms! Good job.

Developer

thank you so much for playing :) i was definitely going for a tight little vignette, so i appreciate your kind words!

This is very cute and you did a really good job of playing on those feelings of nostalgia! I think the casual laid-back writing style and great choice of music definitely helped achieve that.

I recently discovered Bitsy too, and I love how streamlined it makes it to create graphically simple narrative experience, and focus on the storytelling and artistic side of things.

Very nice entry! :)

Developer

I really like the aesthetics.  Very cute and consistent through-out the game-play.  Music was nice and chill too which matched the vibe of the game.  Well done.

This game reminds me of Game Boy era, for me it's nostalgic.

I love the small details in characters, there are so few pixels and still look like humans :)

I'm impressed :)

Developer

hey thanks so much! I definitely had a lot of fun designing the art for the game :)

The game is great, both musi and art style are funtastic, but  I felt really sad after:'(

Developer

thanks so much! and aw yes, it was kind of meant to be a little sad :)

Wow, I love the sense of nostalgia invoked. The tasteful music, the peaceful tea shops, and the well-written dialogue work in concert to create a great atmosphere.

I think the story can be extended upon, and perhaps more hints on what exactly happened and how people reacted would be great. Introducing more movements in the environment can make the scene feel more lively as well. Some restaurant ambient sounds maybe?

Very lovely. Makes me want to get some good warm tea and reflect on my past now.

Developer

thanks so much for this feedback! glad to hear you enjoyed the atmosphere - and I totally agree with you on the story building. in my next bitsy game I'll make sure to think about how to make the playing experience more immersive :)

The music was atmospheric and made me feel like I was playing in a flashback of time. The art style was a very nice touch.  The retro style lended itself to the mood the music put you in.

Developer

thanks so much for your kind feedback! :)

Lovely. Reminds me of the old days when I often had to throw a tiny rock at a friend's window because there were no smartphones and he kept his doorbell always disconnected to avoid pranks, and I had this amazing computer Atari 800XL. These days are long dead but were the beginnings :-).

Developer

they sure were the beginnings! i am so grateful for your message :)

This game i a lot different than most games submitted, and i love it.
It makes me contemplate on my memories of going out with my friends pre-pandemic. I love it. And the conversation around the little table.
Keep it up, I hope you release a full version of the game. I would love to buy it.

Developer
