omg i wasnt expect that. it was really fun to play. nice game with cute little details. congrats for submisson
Great little game! Nice work!
Great idea for a game! I liked the look of it too. I found it a little tough at the beginning, but got better and better as I went. I still don't think I'd be a very good doctor in a zombie attack though...
Appreciate the comment and you're absolutely right! The consensus seems to be that it's on the harder side, but our naive and optimistic interpretation of that is that there's at least some progression in the form of a learning curve :P
Regardless, I appreciate your honest feedback and it's certainly a lesson we'll take into our next game!
I think that's what's good about these quick type of games is that if you lose, you can quickly pick it up again and learn from your mistakes. As long as the player has some resolve and time, they'll hopefully solve it!
I think finding the right balance can be tough because the developer knows what to look for, and knows the timing of everything, while a newcomer is completely fresh. My game started off far to difficult when I first had people test it, but now I'm thinking I made it a bit too easy. An endless struggle!
Cute game! I enjoyed playing it. Nicely done.
Thanks for the kind words! I enjoyed your submission as well! Played through all 3 levels :D
very cool idea! i couldn't save a single patient after 3 attempts though ;-)
also: thanks so much for that glowing review! it totally made my day
Thanks for your game! It totally made my day!
I love the challenge and this easily can be expanded upon, like creating a way to remove zombies, different levels, making so that you can use some of the medical items for defending yourself from zombies, obstacles that only a player can get over, like a door which you can shut and it buys time for you to do smth, adding wounding system. Great idea with some polish you can make this into something commercial ;)
Thanks for the compliments and feedback!
We actually shared some of the same ideas during development (using medical items to slow down zombies, making this a level-based game where saving 5 patients would advance you to the next level). But due to time-constraints, we ended up just focusing on delivering a minimum viable product.
Sounds like we're on the same wavelength!
Reminded me of the old WoW bandages quest to increase Medic level :D Well done !
Thank you! I've never played WoW, but it sounds like the OG Overcooked xD
Hard but well made! I like the premise of Overcooked with Zombies! haha
I think the size of the hitboxes around the items and patients was a little small, sometimes it was hard to tell when I would be able to pick up or drop off an item successfully (people definitely died because of my negligence). At least there's no dishwashing in this game haha
Thanks for the kind comment, baron_elmwich!
There's definitely some wonkiness with picking up items that we're trying to address in an upcoming hotfix. After playing through your submission, we are inspired to improve our game further! Your music choice and aesthetics were top notch!!
Thanks! I spent a lot of time looking around for good music, it was a lot of fun!
It was fun! A bit difficult too :D
Right back at ya, JoeRaig!
Your game is BEAUTIFUL! Might have to use those assets for a future project!
