haha when the Goat man turned to the camera I laughed! Good job that was fun. oddly terrifying when those creatures run at you.
Lol ty. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
This is a really nice game! It confused me a bit on the shooting controls but once I got it, it was nice!
Thanks glad the controls didn't keep you up. Glad you liked the game :). Can I ask what about the controls was confusing?
Oh it's just that there was no instructions in-game so I had to click my mouse buttons. It was late when I noticed that there were instructions in the description :)
Shooting from the bow was absolutely great and awesome experience. One thig I would improve is the camera, it was a bit disorienting.
Overall gret job.
Yeah the zoomed in camera view is a little wack. I was trying to figure out how to adjust it so it kept the player head in frame but I moved on and forgot about it. Definitely something I'm going to look at if I continue this project. Glad you enjoyed it :)
The cutscene with giving the power was very funny :D And saying the theme and then the goat guy just turns to the camera :D Got me laughing!
Game itself was alright, the shooting mechanic was fun, the camera positioning worked with that relatively well, but otherwise I wasn't a big fan of the camera positioning. Also good that spamming didn't work that well, wanted to give it a go and got right next to the enemy and just spammed arrows, but nope :D
All in all as the goat guy implied it was theme related and otherwise an alright experience. I must say that maybe overscoped with what you want to get done, but polishing this and making it even better would definitely be a possibility for a great game.
Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed the cutscene! Maybe I was doing too much but I use game jams as a way to learn new things. So I wanted to try out sound implementation with Fmod and how to use the sequencer. The game isn't super polished but I would say I still learned a lot. Glad you enjoyed the game :)
Fair enough and for sure it looks like you have implemented a lot and it's the most important part to enjoy and learn, so WELL DONE! :)
Very fun, I enjoyed the shooting mechanic and it was fun trying to headshot everything. Loved the voice acting as well, the game sounded great!
The original mouse movement was a bit too much until I got used to it, and then I spent the majority of my time with the bow out, but it was a good, fun time!
Yeah you really have to crank down that sensitivity in the settings. But thank you :). I thought all the voice actors did a really great job on the project. Glad you had fun :)
Hmm honestly the whole game is a bit quirky and goofy, seems overscoped for a gamejam game. The voice acting was really good tho, and it was quite fun trying to snipe everybody. The controls were quite confusing I mean the mouse rotation etc, too bad there was also no sprint, it was slow trying to find the last enemies, I was quite close to dying from the soldiers ngl XD
Lol yeah. I was trying to go for a more non serious vibe for the game. I was missing a sprint feature as well. But, it ended up being something I just skipped on at least for the jam. Good to know that you didn't die :). During testing, I was trying to make it not super difficult but not a breeze to play through. I implemented the death mechanic I think like the last hour before I submitted so I'm glad that it wasn't too difficult. Glad you liked the sniping :)
It looks like you've done a great job. You are big guys.
Thanks :)
Interesting game. I really liked the bow mechanics and I was really surprised by the cutscene. But I don't quite understand why I had to enter another dimension, and a gameplay connection between the dimensions would be nice.
Yeah there's not a strong connection between the story and the mechanics. It was a solo project and I think the story suffered because of it. I'm glad you liked the bow mechanics though :)
Looks lovely, plays pretty well. Enjoyed the cinematic. Was hoping I could take a rifle from downed soldiers to help with the monsters, they tough!
Lol thanks! I think it would be cool to add that in the future if I continue with the project. A couple of people had mentioned that :)
Really good game, congratulations! I'm a bit sorry, that the dimension shifting does not serve it's purpuse as a mechanic in combat. For example shifting into the shadow dimension for a limited time to escape closing enemies. But nice game overall, good job! :)
Yeah where I got the inspiration from. I the dimension shifting was more immediate. I think it would be cool to make it faster if I continue on with the project
wow the game is well-polished everything fits well together, great game mechanics. would you try out mine and rate it according.
Thanks will check it out
alright :D thanks.
I like how the aim is rising up like a ding dong, 10/10!
Great cinematics and animations. Really good voice-acting. Great job!
Thank you :). I think they did a great job too
Pretty cool! The cinematics are well done, and the voice acting is very good. The theme implementation is amazing, and I was surprised when I saw a gun on the cutscene. I think it needs more polishing though, like on the environment and the lights, but overall, good job! :D
Yeah definitely need some polish. But thank you! I thought it would be really funny to add that gun into the cutscene. Like wth that's just a straight up gun lol. Glad you enjoyed it!
During the Cutscene I thought I want that gun but during play I realised that trying to hit far and moving targets is way more fun if it has a little challenge:
I think I found a little bug that you can draw the bow fully then release aim - then you have a fully drawn bow ready to shot after moving^^
Yeah a lot of bugs with the bow mechanic. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Well done! I absolutely enjoyed the cutscene/dialogue :D and the mechanics are pretty solid. I wished the other dimension was also in a fantasy setting, but just darker instead. Since the maps are big, a sprint button will be great when the bow is not equipped. A minimap and some light background music can be nice additions too.
Yeah thank you :) Idk why but I got the idea of forspoken in my head but I really liked that idea. I do think a fantasy dimension would've worked better in this short amount of time. Glad you liked it :)
Nice game. But the control is very sensitive
Yeah you really have to turn down the sensitivity for it. Not too sure why it acts like that but I was using cinemachine so idk. Maybe it's funky a bit
But actually great work yuo have done there. So don't worry.I loved that you make your game as an objective quest.
Nice game. Very good voice acting and bow mechanics. Graphics remind me of World of Warcraft. Good job.
I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
Looks good, I like the voice acting, the design of the first level, the UI elements.
Just two big issues, in the PC version I can't attack, I'm not sure how to defeat the monsters, to move on.
Then the default sensitivity on vertically is really high at start
Sorry to hear that. I spent some time this morning, and I got a WebGL version working. If you want to try again. It should be functioning now!
The concept is so cool, especially the transition btw two dimesions, and I like the aiming system. Remind me of the Kindomcome: Deliverance. Kindof hard, but it's good to make a game even with dialogue in ten days, very impressive. Although the player is acting an archer, maybe can move faster so that you have time to aim and shoot the enemies. Great job.
Ty very much! Yeah, I think all the voice actors did a fantastic job in this. Movement is definitely something I think can be improved thank you :)
