I felt a bit like playing xwing or tie fighter, I liked the idea of the game but it wasn't easy for me to control the game. Also, couldn't find the secondary theme in the game.
Thanks for the feedback. Will keep in mind control scheme for future games :). The game was planned to have a plant trading system, but due to time I had to implement the theme another way via an acronym. Hence the name "Pirate Lasering And Nullifying Terminators Dubbed: Starblight Couriers (P.L.A.N.T.D.S.C)"
It's really fiddly, but I managed to shoot some things. Nice work.
Thanks!
An interesting concept. It's limited-scope enough to seem viable when you know that games like X were on the Gameboy, but the control scheme is definitely a little awkward.
Originally I tried to use arrow keys but they only work in the menus which meant it seemed non-responsive when they stopped working as input in the main gameplay segment.
Thanks for the feedback! If I do ever revisit the game controls are first on the list :) Keybinds were planned but scope creep happened :p
A 3D space game sounds interesting, especially cause it reminds me of the original elite. There are a few problems though. It's space, so there isn't really a way to oriantate yourself. The control scheme doesn't give a good way to accelerate, making movement itself really hard. The info on screen doesn't really help
So overall needs some more work
Mhm, allot of stuff was cut for time (as is what happens with first-time jams). Definitely hear you on the control scheme though, I'll keep that in mind for future games. Thanks for the feedback!
I shot some space stuff. Works for me!
Well done!
Thanks allot! :)
It's great to see you learned a lot with this project. Looking forward for updates, this is a great start.
I sure learned allot, thanks! A few game-breaking bugfixes have been released. I'll be participating in the 32-bit jam as well.
