Gooby is adorable and I love the story. It got me nostalgic about trading music back in the day when we used CDs. I figured out how to dash over jumps by playing around, but a tutorial would have been helpful. It's a cute idea and you got a lot done in 10 days. I had fun playing!

It's a super cute game, I loved Gooby! Pixel art was nice and I liked the little story at the start. There were a couple of moments where I didn't know what to do, and the controls felt a little off. I also got stuck at the start of the purple level because the enemies didn't respawn after I died so I couldn't make the jump. Also, since the story focuses on music it would've been nice to have some! Great work :)

thank you! yeah I agree I should've added music but I completely overlooked the time I had left.. also you should still technically be able to do the jump by running (using B), I could do so during my test runs at least

This game is cute! Sometimes it wasn't clear that I was supposed to stand somewhere specific and then press up, and some of the platforming challenges feel a little unnecessarily tight. Your spritework is great, though! Looking forward to Goobymania 2.0 :)

This is a fun little game!  Interesting story.  I really like the characters.  It's too bad there is no sound for a game about a dancing alien!  I played until the end of the light level and couldn't do anything.  I'm assuming this is as far as you got.

Thank you! Yeah, I wish I could've done more in terms of sound, I was too hyperfocused on making the level designs. I'll try to fix that when I revisit this game after the jam.

Also, you shouldn't be stuck at the end of the level? I might've overlooked something during the programming. So sorry...
