Pretty smooth controls, straightforward gameplay. The color scheme is unusual, but I like it.
The sound effects are well-done, and aptly communicate when significant events take place.
The only part that slightly confused me was that it took me a while to understand how to deposit the stars.
It would be nice if the main character had a little bit of animation. Just waving arms around, or the exhaust from a jetpack, would be enough.
Nice game, movement feels good, it's fun to collect the stars while avoiding obstacles. The difficulty needs a bit of tuning (should get harder with time). I lost eventually because almost no stars were falling for me to collect so the randomness needs to be controlled a bit better. Music was a bit too repetitive. It sounds like a really good base for something catchy, just need to add a few notes... :)
You are absolutely right, a few small elements are missing to improve the prototype! Thanks for your feedback !
That was fun! The controls are solid, and the mechanics are well-implemented. Simple and enjoyable.
The resolution seems to be too large.
Good work. Congratulations on the submission!
Thanks for your feedback !
I liked this one - the sounds are nice, it looks pleasant, and I liked the ending cutscene. The only gameplay issue I can think of is that at one point I was drained of 20 seconds because I got unlucky with only infected stars dropping, but I understand that that's just a symptom of the game jam - you don't have the time to fine tune it.
The AZERTY keyboard layout caught me off guard at first, I sat there trying to figure out which layout that was for longer than I'd like to admit. (I'm used to arrow keys though so controls weren't an issue)
Overall, good job! It's my first jam too.
Thanks for your detailed feedback. I'm glad you liked the ending cutscene <3 !
Good game! Loved the art especially.
Thanks for your feedback !
Great graphics and I liked the gameplay. I had to play it twice to understand how to play. Once I thought I dropped the star on the ship, but I guess I was too far and I dropped it, but I did save the galaxy! :D I wasn't a big fan of the repeating music in the background. The music/sound was too repetitive for me, it sounded like a distress signal to me so it was making me feel a little anxiety. I did enjoy the pickup sounds of the stars and other effects.
Thanks for your feedback ! Congrats for saving the galaxy !
With a little hindsight (and feedback), a tutorial could have helped. I'm glad your liked sounds effects ! Music and sounds is really a first for me (Made with GB Studio). The atmosphere of anxiety was definitely not planned... The idea was rather to have a "chill" atmosphere !
Enjoyable game! (on mute)
I like the fluidity of movement, and the contained gameplay.
But that music. Are you actively trying to drive us insane? =P
Thanks for your feedback ! Music and sound effect is really a first for me (Made with GB Studio), I wanted to have a simple loop for submission, I would have liked to have nicer music but I lacked time (And musical talent) ahah.
This is a cool little game! I really like the look of the character and the ship. It was difficult for me to figure out how to play the game even after reading your directions. I wonder if there is a way to design some training into the first stage of gameplay?
Thanks for your feedback ! After saw a few people playing the game for first time, indeed a "training" is needed so the player know better how it works.
