Really cool game! Fun gameplay, great visuals, nice sounds, amazing work all around!

The gameplay is fun with good controls, cool central mechanic and smooth movement but the glide can definitely make the controls feel janky. The visuals are well done and look like they were ripped straight from the Gameboy. This can also be said about the audio (sound effects and music). The game has a spooky atmosphere as it's mostly dark pixels on screen along with the low toned music, which is great!

Very solid game 👍👍

Almost purrfect. One point lost to gameplay, due to wall jump and glide with same key making the control extremely difficult at times. Other than that, yeah, awesome entry.

Maybe I should've used Select to toggle between worlds, and leave B for glide. I might experiment with that and see how it feels.

Thanks for playing!

The character design is excellent and I really like the dual-player switchup mechanic. Well made!

I really liked the game! It looks great and the platforming feels really good! The switching between the characters is implemented very well, an overall fun experience!

Wow I loved the game, the graphics are beautiful and it really has the soul of a Game Boy game

Awesome game! Pretty tight platforming and intuitive controls.

The level design and upgrades condensed the "now I feel powerful!" aspect of metroidvanias into a nice GB-style game. It was challenging enough towards the end, but I was able to beat it.

Felt like a perfect jam game. Hope to see more!

Ah! The power trip after getting a new ability never gets old!

Holy damn! That was an amazing submission, I do have to agree with Rafaiska about how the glide ability seems to not give enough leeway for the wall jump to execute properly, but that seems to be an easy fix.

The graphics are really good, and very well done on the mirror transition, ya'll made it transition very nicely with using only 2 colours so the 4 colour palette rule is never broken, very well done on that!

Developer(+1)

It was fun to make sprites that were only seen in the ghost world (like the sword slash) being shaded in negative, since the color brightness values are backwards while controlling the ghosts.
Thank you so much for playing!

What a great game! I was really impressed by the artwork, and the music reminds me of my favorite titles from the Game Boy.

It felt like once the glide ability was introduced, the wall jump became too hard for me to execute. It felt like a step back in the game’s learning curve, something that may cause frustration in some players.

But I didn’t give up: I reached the tome at the end, and I had a lot of fun. I feel like it has potential to become a successful commercial game in the future. :)

I'm definitely revisiting the glide+walljump stuff post-jam. It's great that you didn't give up!

Thank you so much for playing!
