It seems very graphically ambitious and as a big fan of GB Studio  I always appreciate seeing a game that can actually run on the GB. That being said the hit bpxes need some fixing, I had a heck of a time getting onto the ladders.

would love to see a revised version with some music!!

Yeah, I messed around with the ladders but still didn't get it perfect. The very middle, horizontally, works best as it is now.  Top and bottom of ladder hitboxes aren't all consistent, probably.
Music is def a future goal.

Pretty cool that you actually used a GB Camera, full score for Gameboy Soul :P

Game visuals also give me a Donkey Kong Land vibe with the details in the assets, cool art concept overall.

Thank you! I believe DKL and DKC did influence the actual dream that I had, though I hadn't played the DKLs yet, at the time.

I'd be very interested in seeing a video on the behind-the-scenes of this production. Looking forward to see this fleshed out, great start!

Thanks! I do hope to explore this further, one way or another.

I did end up making a sort of blog post with additional photos of the behind-the-scenes process, if you're interested. A video is a great idea for future projects like this.

The fact that you used the GB Camera for some parts of this makes me so happy! Love the vibes of this.

Once I got stuck.
No sound is neutral.

Thank you for sharing your dream!!!

Thanks! Yeah, I noticed that the player could get stuck in the walls sometimes, I'll address that if I go back to it.
