Impressive combat mechanic! I use a keyboard daily so I was whipping through the enemies.
Nice art and the combat idea was interesting. Having to type 7 or 8 keys to heal was a bit much. Some way to simplify the runes would be nice.
I really liked the art!
Very neat entry! I think the spell could have some king of logic in the letter needed to cast them but the idea is very original and the mechanic is well implemented!
Interesting combat mechanic, not something I have seen before.
Took me a second to get the hang of it, but once I did it was super fun!
Good entry!
Very interesting mechanic! every time you get better skills, it gets harder to use those skills.
The art was very well done too, and the music adds the right tone to it :)
I got to a point in the game where you can't move, because you have all the skills learned and the "new skill" tab pops up, but you can't choose any skill :c
Very original combat mechanic. Stringing out the heal runes without error in combat was fairly challenging. But the system works well. The art style was very nice. I think it was clever to have a very easy strike key combo, easy defense combo, and a fairly complicated heal combo.
Great jam submission.
It is a game about typing skill, unfortunately I'm very bad a such skill 😂
But the game looks good, that is the most important part.
Idea, gameplay, graphics it's all really cool!
But it's kind of sketchy when applying the rune, secret delays I guess?
Overall pretty fun good job
I enjoyed the overall presentation, the concept is also unique.
After buying all of the upgrades (im assuming I did), i was pretty much soft locked at the campfire with an empty menu. The typing for each spell was a bit unintuitive - which perhaps was by design. The animation and effects were nice! I liked the fact that there were unique resistances and status effects.
Personally, I think I'd like a system like this to be turned based vs real time. The combat reminds me a bit of Xenogears with the different button inputs chaining into unique moves.
Good work!
wow, such a nice game 👍
I'm not a fan of typing games, but I really liked this one, the graphics are very nice, excellent work :)
