The platforming was a bit meh, and the reverse steering was inverted.

This wasn't my worst dream or the most unrealistic. :D
Over all, the game felt quite all right. The mini games were cool too.
I love the chair riding! Else it's a really funny driving game. Good job!
So much juice! Really cool game but the controls of the car are really cool but not good for precision so I ended up looking for the platforming levels.
Very good entry :)
The art and music are great. The movement felt a little floppy thuoug, but you can still enjoy the game!
That's my favourite so far *^*
Some crazy mix between Vangers, Omori, and EBF 5 - re-e-eally cool. Exploration is light and exciting, amount of juicy interactions and secrets is magnificent.
My only regret and the reason I didn't finished it yet is car. It's too uncontrollable for me T^T
It would be cool if you would add some options for that - someone would, of course, like such a drift and all, but not everyone... If something will be changed with this issue post-jam - I will be here, immediately)
Loved it already. Thank you so much for this submission!
Thank you! JDEV and I both admit the car controls are a bit too loose. Originally the driving was going to be a mini game about feeling out of control (since it's apparently a common dream type for people). The car was fun though, and making a transition between car and 2d platformer (the other mini game types were going to use 2d platforming controls) became the goal.
I'm really glad you enjoyed it overall, and JDEV has been talking a lot about tweaking the car controls after the voting period is over.
Paid off my debt in 21 minutes B)
This was so good, holy heck
The visuals were so fun, the character and world design are so weird and funky :3
The gameplay was really good too! The driving took some getting used to but it never felt bad or unpolished and the physicality of everything was so satisfying. Easily one of my fave games I've played so far in this jam!
Nice game i really like however the driving part feel unpolished im not sure how to put in words but overall i really like it the art give me some yume nikki vibes love it!1!!
Thank you for playing! I was the one behind the driving so I apologize. Originally the driving was only meant to be 1 of a few mini games themed around common dream types. Out of control driving is a common dream I have so the idea was a level with loose controls and obstacles that inverted those controls. a few days in, we changed scope a bit and made it an overworld. I admit I should have polished it more but we were short on time. Also a yume nikki vibe was exactly what we were going for, so glad you noticed.
What I liked:
- The art and effects for the platforming sections was really nice
- It has a lot of character
- The platforming was clean and responsive
- I like the idea of a game that has both driving and platforming as a main mechanic
- The driving mechanics were juicy
What I think could be improved:
- I wasn't a huge fan of the driving sections even though I do like the idea of it
- I thought the camera was too zoomed in, which made me have a really hard time finding my way around. I ended up just driving with the map open because that felt easier to find stuff
- The driving seemed like it was more of a fancy level map to get between platforming stages with, but I thought it was a little tedious
- I like the idea of needing to use the bouncy things to solve platforming puzzles a lot, but I didn't really feel like there was much figuring out to do with the level design
Overall great submission!
Thank you for the feedback! The car controls were a first for us and definitely need tweaking. Merging two types of character controllers and having everything run in a single scene posed some unique problems and we probably over scoped a bit for a game jam, haha. Was going for a bit of trippy yume nikki style of game, but with more collectables than the effects found in that game (plus only so much time to make content...which a game themed like this needs quite a bit of). I had plans to add things like a double jump unlock and car improvements, but those had to be scrapped due to time constraints. Again, thank you for playing and taking the time to provide some great constructive feedback!

Very unique and charming game! Didn't expect an open world exploration game when I loaded up the game. Really ambitions, especially with the two types of gameplay. I enjoyed finding new random things, many of them game me a good chuckle. You can tell you cleary had lots of fun making this. Amazin!
Thank you! JDEV and I originally planned this to be a mini game collection. You started in a hub area, and entered doors to dream worlds (Yume Nikki style). You completed mini games to earn Z's to wake up. JDEV wanted to make a mini game about out of control driving, and we had planned for a tooth related platformer, a public nudity stealth game, and an endless runner where you are being chased by something you can't seem to outrun (all dream stuff). However the driving was fun, so I got the idea of exploring an overworld in the car and visiting "dungeons" that were platforming sections. I drew out a very very rough sketch of the map, but JDEV really went to town filling it with fun set pieces.
Such a fun game with a really impressive scope! Driving feels pretty good & responsive. Running into things feels really rewarding. The camera shake when you pick up coins is great. I wish there was more platforming! The character design/animation is cool too!
Thank you! The driving is a bit loosey goosey, but the original plan for the car mini game was "out of control driving" - so it was originally meant to be that way. By the time we started thinking about tightening up the car controls, we were both kinda used to it and got low on time. Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks! Most sounds were made in bfxr or recorded and edited with audacity. The sonic bumpers are ...sonic bumpers...it had to be sonic bumpers...at least i drew them from scratch haha. The trees are a heavily modified bounce sound from link to the past. If you do donuts in the car long enough, you get a special easter egg sound from a certain animated show that was heavily bit crushed.
This is by far the juiciest game I've tried out thus far! And sleep debt is something I can really relate to. I like the mix of platforming and driving. The driving was a bit hard to get the hang of but I think I got it eventually.
Game is fun, satisfying to collect coins. it was weird to get used to the controls at first but when it clicked I had fun driving fast.
the colorful art and insane post processing made it hard to understand what is going on at a glance, the button to disable the post processing helped a lot.
good game! well done.
