Nice! The game is juicy, the dash attack is really cool, I like that there is 2 types of enemies !
A bit more variety in the situations would have been really appreciated (maybe with blocks, powerups, a way to reset dash cooldown...), but there is only so much you can do in a week, right ? ^^ the result is still great!
Good job!
I like what you did here. The character animation is really good and your use of slowdown on the dash is excellent. It really felt good slashing through the enemies with it. Kind of too good though, since as a result I never really wanted to use the melee attack. Also loved the explosion effects on death and the enemies. Really improved the impact of nailing multiple slashes.
The archer enemies are super oppressive , seems hard to get past multiple when the dash goes on CD, a ui element to let you know when the dash is up would also be cool.
Great entry, not a ton of juice, but the juice you did get in is excellently executed.
love the enemy explosions, archers are kind of annoying but its fine :P
Well put together platformer! Everything fit the aesthetic, and that slowdown timer for attacks is great fun to get a good timed feeling! Could use a lot more juice with attack moves, death animations, and parrying or some sort of counter and would like to see some more variety in the enemies but I like the direction it's headed!
Nicely done! Wished that the sword/slash was bigger, especially going up against big guys with big swords at the beginning.
Good idea the slow motion on the dash! The main attack could have a little more range.
Good job anyway.
This is quite a ride. The power that the player can change direction of the dash is great! I wish, we did it the same way. The time slow down on it could be a bit stronger and the character could leave a trail like a comet or something. I smiled when discovered the double jump AND the dash gets you to places unreachable.
The level design is ok, but there are some places where it looks like the character could get trough but can't. So it needs a bit more polish. (As does a lot of games - like ours - on these jams)
The desk mechanic was really satisfying! It could use a bit more level design to encourage engaging the enemies. I found myself able to just run past enemies with the dash. Overall great work!
Overall, the game gives off a classic, I would even say "retro" feeling. Dash attack is always a satisfying choice - here it felt nice too, however the distance felt a little bit short and a bit more juicy impact would make it much cooler.
Character felt a bit too heavy for a fluid ninja, I guess? Maybe, more speed and gravity would help?...
Sfx choice is satisfying.
Good job. Thanks for this entry!
I enjoyed the art, the movement, and the particle effects.
I wish the attack of the player had more range and felt a bit more impactful. The dash attack felt pretty nice though! Good work!
Really liked the feel of the game. Combat felt fun and the enemies didn't feel unfair.
Good entry!
Fun game and a good length for the jam. Those lanterns helped me get to the final pagoda to right mouse attack through the mob of guards at the end while crossing my fingers to not die!
The right button attack was very satisfying.
Enemy archers were to be feared; their ninja black arrows were very hard to see, and some of them had a very fast rate of fire. In groups, they were death. The jump felt a little too short to easily climb to higher areas on screen, I fell short a lot trying.
The sound and graphics were nice. Got a juicy right click weapon and combo feedback. And who doesn't like playing a ninja!
