From some who struggles with an Anxiety disorder this is a nice game to play. Music is so chill I feel relaxed just stopping and listening. Point for originality the whole game is base around breathing in an out to get to the next level. One thing I would change is making the breath button something else instead of spacebar. I found myself falling a lot cause my gamer brain always has space as jump and not up. I like how you only get one chance to use the platform so it make you overthink before jumping. then you just remember to breath. I love the intro video very relatable. Couple of things need to be changed but not much. This will be a cool game if it keeps getting worked on and refined. ;)

It sounds funny to say you feel chill and relaxed about a game themed around a panic attack lol, but that's actually intentional. When we decided this was gonna be about mental health, the biggest thing for me was for the game to NOT be a bummer. I wanted the player to have fun rather than feel sad.
I knew Troisnyx was perfect for this. I asked her for an emotional track laced with optimism for the intro, and she delivered. I asked for an upbeat and energetic track for gameplay, she delivered. I am very grateful to her.

No you miss understand the music is chill not the game. I was panicking for sure playing this. You did the job. I need to say my words better English is not my first language

Wow this was great! The art and sound design did a great job creating a feel to the game and the gameplay worked well for the plot! I enjoyed the exhaling, especially how it encourages you to take a deep breath in real life and calm down when a barrage of the doubts come at you. Only complaint is the difficulty was a little hard in some places and the wall jumping mechanic took me a bit to get used to. Other than that, great game, you all did great!

Well done, excellent intro and I really like how health is represented as the darkness collapsing onto you. Great use of the theme as well

Ty! I love me some videogame-ass videogames but if I can help it I avoid traditional UI in my projects :D

this is absolutely brilliant. how is all i want to ask.

This game reminds me of the feather mini-game from "Celeste," where Madeline has to breathe in and out slowly to calm herself whenever she is having a panic attack. The levels can be difficult at times--especially the boss level, but I still managed to beat the game and had a good time doing so. It's a solid entry for a jam since it fits the theme very well. Great job on the jam submission!

Great work guys.  It is incredible that you guys (and/or girls) were able to make this game in only 7 days. I really enjoyed the game but it is difficult to play. I think I will return to play this some other time but for now I want to try out some new games. Keep up the good work.

Really nice game! As a person who also suffers from occasional anxiety attacks, fearing them all the time, it builds a connection playing this game. I wish there would be a soft voice in my head too telling me to breath in and out. Fear builds more fear build more fear and so on...
But back to your game! Amazing job with the visuals, and the idea and concept is great. I love the audio design and the little anxiety clouds attack your brain.
Lovely to see all these creative minds here ^^

This is really a very cool game! While I was playing, I began to inhale and exhale as a character, I liked everything, but I never completed the level with the boss, it was somehow very difficult and long, it took me about 15 minutes to complete it? And I still lost, but otherwise I liked the game.

Developer(+1)

Understandable, I apologize for the difficulty. I actually finished making the boss 5 minutes before the deadline lol! I do agree it's pretty tedious.

Submitted(+3)

That was really cool! The presentation is polished, and the breathe is a great attack and heal; the technique and timing is satisfying to pull off!

The instruction to "Press {Jump Key} during Wall Hold to Jump" was a bit odd, given that the control to Wall Jump seems to be Holding both {Jump Key} and {Opposite Direction}. It also took me a bit to get used to pressing {Down} to let go of a wall; they're sticky! There were several times when trying to wall jump resulted in my head colliding with the wall, but wall jumping was still quite fun!

The sound design on the character is great! The thumpy pitter-patter of the walk is a treat for the ears, and it compliments the soundtrack. Also, excellent choice of music!

The boss was a great iteration on the theme of the game! Although, it was easier to jump up either wall then go up the strings of platforms.

I noticed that the doubts in the boss could push me into walls. It was funny!

Great work!

Thank you so much for the thorough review! I'm just so sad I spent so much time on mechanics and presentation that I didn't have time to make levels :(
Btw, I also wall jump for the boss lol

DeveloperSubmitted(+1)

Musician here — glad you liked what you heard, thank you 🙏🏽

The game is really good. the breathing animation is great! Though overall a tough game because of limited FoV.

Submitted(+4)

The game with the best presentation that I have played so far in this jam. The introduction animation alone was at least a level above most other entries and the game itself holds up also quite well to expectations. The breath-mechanic is implemented in a very good way.

Developer(+1)

I appreciate the kind words about the intro! To be honest, I may have spent a little *too* much time on it lol.

Submitted(+3)

I really enjoyed this game as someone who also suffers from anxiety. It does lead you to feel "unstable" at times. I can see a lot of potential in this game and I can see that you wanted to do more with it. However, what you did for the jam is very good! I hope you keep expanding it and finding new mechanics and polish to make it even better. Good job!

Thank you very much! <3

Hello all who play, I am very grateful for the hard work of everyone on this project! Unfortunately, I ran out of time to implement much levels and enemies proper into the game. Thank you for viewing it!
