I love the idea of the game, and the art style looks so good. This is so creative, original, and it might win.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Means a lot

Submitted(+1)

Cool idea! I liked the art style too :D

Developer

Thank you so much <3

Really cool! I somehow managed to glitch the game by turning at the exact moment I broke down the T-junction wall, causing me to run diagonally through the void. Other than that, I like the idea, well done!

Developer

xD yeah I forgot to reset some variables so you just run through the void. the Gd.games version is bug free

Submitted(+1)

Good job! Nice feel and polish. Sound FX are a bit loud but music is perfect in background.

I found the art to be really good and fit very well with the whole design of the game.

I maybe had some bugs, never got any ammo back even after death.

Developer

Thank you so much! Yeah the Itch.io version is buggy due to me not resting the global variables after each death or win, the Gd.games is bug free

This game looks fantastic! Fun to play too. I'm getting Anger Foot vibes from the first-person door-kicking. My only real complaint is that it feels pretty buggy: I had to refresh the page a bunch of times to give it a proper go, and once restart my entire computer (though that could simply have been an unrelated crash with unfortunate timing). I wouldn't mind a bit more variety in the enemies/levels/etc. as well but that sounds like a lot to hope for out of 48 hours. On the whole this strikes me as a great effort that really nails the jam theme.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for this amazing feedback! means a lot. the itch.io version is buggy due to me forgetting to reset the global variables after each death or win, the Gd.games if bug free. we are going to work on a version BLOTHER : Rekindled World with a roguelite style of gameplay and a big emphasis on Online Co-op

Ah, thanks for letting me know! The gd.games version is definitely smoother. If you can find a way to offer meaningful choices of upgrades etc. I think that would really make the most of the two-button gameplay: it's always nice to be able to keep the core game simple, but offer a bit more depth between levels. I also feel as though it could lend itself to local multiplayer as well: if you've only got two buttons to handle, one player could use left/right and the other could use A/D (though I remember multiple cameras being a bit of a long shot in GDevelop last time I tried, which might make split-screen a challenge to set up if it's even possible).

Fantastic retro stylish game, a few bugs here and there like trigger a turn in an incorrect position and the dude starts to run diagonally through walls :D
But it's a game jam, so understandable.

Developer(+1)

Thank for the feedback bud. XD yeah it’s actually my first working with 3D in Gdevelop so I didn’t know how to effectively change the player’s rotation

Ok, the game it´s really really good. Graphics, style, music, and the "two buttons" theme are great, but it has a lot of bugs, and some things to improve.

1) In the Itch version the white screen of the death makes that you cannot replay the game in the same browser... 2) In the Gd version the stats of your bullets are not reset after death, so if you die a couple of times, you finally play without bullets XDD

3) And... The enemy secuence is always the same (right-left-right-left). Once noticed, the game is really easy to beat, hehe. Needs more variation (the miniboss, for example, some randomisation... and maybe shoot at power-ups to refill bullets, etc).

Again, a greeeat game, "bullet time!!" XDD

Thank you so much for the amazing feedback! We are aware of the bugs—I panicked and forgot to reset all the global variables 😅. We had plans to add some enemies and adjust the spawn placements in each level, but we ran out of time. If it weren’t for the staff, especially Bouh, we wouldn’t have been able to submit it on time.

The first thing to say abut this game is that it looks and sounds really good. Then there's a few glitches, but nothing too disruptive.  Very cool submission, gg and good luck throughout the jam.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the feedback, means a lot. I panicked and forgot to reset all the global variables xD and that resulted in some unwanted glitches and bugs, it’s all fixed on [Gd.games](https://gd.games/mohmoh/blother

Thanks !

This had definitely a retro-feel about it. It was a bit unclear how to keep the ammo updated. Otherwise it was fun play.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the feedback. the ammo was meant to be spawned as ammo boxes however due to the limited time, you just get 2 bullets each time you enter a door.

Professional visuals and smooth gameplay. Reminds me of arcade cabinet games. I managed to turn at a junction and end up in a black void (the character continued to walk against a completed black background), but I know how hard it is to squash all bugs with such little time. Great game.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the feedback means a lot!! Yeah I pretty much panicked and forgot to reset all the global variables after you lose, resulting in the void bug and the crash bug. it’s all fixed on Gd.games and we have some interesting idea for the game in the future.

Submitted(+1)

Looks cool! Love the 2D graphics, and how they're also combined with basic 3D graphics like old PC games! I don't understand the point of the splitting paths since they all mostly feel the same (and they don't indicate their differences either) or what the skull in the top left corner does.

(Also for me the game crashed a bit after I went through a middle wall almost without any ammo left)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the feedback. splitting the path would resulted in a random encounter with a boss like mounter (that’s what we intended) however he didn’t get enough time to implement the idea, and I forgot to reset the global variables that’s why the game crashed.

The Gd.games has the fixed version :D give that a try!

Submitted

Gave it a try. Doesn't crash this time! Still didn't find the boss :( (and is the game supposed to abruptly end/send you back to the main menu after you kick down a door in the white area? Did I escape?)

Developer(+1)

Yes you did we wanted to add a animated ending scene showing the player that they escaped and are taking on another dungeon xD but we run out of time

Submitted(+2)

this game is awesome! love the visual SFX.

only concern is the game always crush after hitting the wooden wall. not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much.

Yes, that issue occurs on the first floor because I forgot to update the scene name in the event after changing it in the properties.

Submitted(+1)

This game is AWESOME! The art is SOOOO GOOD!😄

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!!. And thanks to GDevelop stuff for allowing us to submit the game
