If there weren't 100 other entries to play and rate, I think me and my buddy would have gone back and forth with this on stream for hours. Excellent work.

Thank you, I enjoyed the stream. Also, I got some good ideas from watching you two play and the feedback given.

Really fun and I did even better once I started using the Shuffle button. It would be cool if there were powerups on random letters, kind of like multipliers in scrabble. Could be similar kind of thing, like if the powerup is on "G" that a skeleton is on and you use the G, then you get a double damage for that letter.

Some of the longest words I made were goner, demons, and tower, teach, hairy. Highest score was 78.

Really liked seeing enemies added to a familiar idea.  Fun twist.

The gameplay is a really cool idea.  Would like to have some audio while playing.  But with the jam focused on art/visual design, not as important.  Overall, really like this concept.  Would love to see you keep going with it!

I got a score of 49. This is a really good game, probably one of my favorites. Love the gameplay as well as the art

I really like the gameplay here! The gradual increase of stress as all the monsters piled up mixed with rapidly finding new words really made me feel like a wizard. The setting is interesting (using a book as a level). I'd love to imagine a version of this game with more vfx and sfx to really sell the feeling of using magic.

One of the more fun games in the jam, got me playing up to a score of 120, you should definitely consider developing it further.

Liked this game a lot!

I just played your game and I have to say, I liked it a lot!The concept is unique and the art is really cool.

However, there are a few things I think could be added:

  • Hint button: Since I am not good at words, it would be helpful if there was a hint button that I could use to get clues when I am stuck.
  • Timer: Having a timer or something similar that shows when the guys are going to attack.

My best score so far is 21 (Ik pathetic lol)
But I think with a few tweaks, this game could be even more epic. Overall, I would definitely recommend this game to others.

Overall pretty epic game :) Keep up the good work!

A hint button does sound useful, but I would not even know how to begin to implement this feature.

An attack timer should be something I can add if I continue with this next round.

Thank you for the feedback.

pretty cool Game. I loved the art and having to spell words on top of enemies to deal damage was very interesting

Fun game, had me racking my brain for long obscure words

Two and three letter words seem to be the secret for me. Thanks for playing.
