Good idea, the game could be fun, but as othes said there are a few problems to resolve.

Hi initially had a look at this due to the knight's pixel art which I like and had fun weaving between the arrows! Unfortunately, I had the idea of just standing to one side, and as long as I put equal points into health and stamina I seemed to win every time without moving. Saying that though it seems you've already gone through new ideas and additions in other comments so will be interesting to see where it goes from here!
Once you get the rythm it can get a bit repetitive! Willy Utano under my comment kind of described how I felt, there could be even objects that you can pick up between the arrows! Kind of a "taking a risk for a reward" kind of way! But it is a completely solid entry for a gamejam, well done! :)
Nice idea, although… It could receive a bit more love: either by polishing up a bit the UI, or giving some sort of feedback of how much you’ve stayed alive before running out of stamina (because, honestly, you’ll practically never die of arrows unless you actively try to catch them), or by increasing the number of arrows after a fixed time period, or by implementing jump and putting obstacles along the way… The possibilities are so many, give your design muscles a chance to flex a bit more!
Keep it up!
We've already started making it so as you progress the number of arrows increase as we found it currently is too easy to dodge them too. Loads of things like obstacles and a jump mechanic would definitely be really cool to implement so we'll definitely give it a look!!! Thank you for the feedback!!!
Nice entry. Everything works as intended. I found it a bit too easy to avoid arrows which quickly turned the fun into a grind. It seemed to stay pretty much the same level of peril throughout. it would have been interesting if the frequency of arrows steadily increased over time. At one point I found myself watching the background roll by and forgot to move. I was fine for a long time before I remembered I was supposed to be avoiding the arrows. With a bit more peril this would be a lot more fun.
Thank you for playing!!!
We've already started modifying the arrow firing system so that it increases the fire rate over time as we agree it was way too easy at the moment. From looking at other people's comments we're also thinking of adding possible obstacles you can jump over or duck under too to add a bit more challenge that way.
I felt this one could of used a little more in it to up the challenge, like maybe obstacles in front that you could duck or jump over. But otherwise the game was quite good and the art was really nice. Amazing job.
Game was fun and the upgrades make it seem like you've really progressed. After enough playing, you are rewarded with the game being afk-able which lets you upgrade even more! I love games that can be played Idly so great job! Music was fun and enjoyable. Use of theme is a bit light as you only say you're leaving the enemies behind but other than that there's no link.
Thanks for playing our game!! I agree the use of the theme was a bit light. We had ideas originally where you would leave your limbs behind as they got shot. A bit graphic but sadly we didn't have the time to implement that. We will try and implement that in a subsequent update perhaps. Even that though would've been a bit light on the theme yea but none the less it was fun to make!
Awesome guys! Great work, I think this game works perfectly for this jam. Leave your enemies behind you! I love the character and the animations. I think the falling one needs to only happen once though! lol Really good to see you and Ludo smash this out. You two make a really good team!
This feels like a flappy bird game but instead, arrows start chasing you hahaha. Would love to see it with different game modes like Difficult or Extremely difficult :)
One thing is the arrow sounds, I think that is just a continuous sound but it would be great if the sound is instantiated or at the same time the arrow appears in the screen (a very short whoosh would be okay). The reason for this is that, I use the sound for being alert on the arrows.
But overall, still a great game! :D
This game reminded me a little of bullet hells. Of course, it wasn't as extreme as a bullet hell, but it was still fun to have to weave back and forth to dodge the arrows. I also wound up putting all the points I got from the levels into stamina instead of health, and then tried to see how long I could go. I didn't think that the game had an end, but if it does, let me know so I can try and reach it!
A critique of mine is that the arrow whooshing sounds were a bit too loud over the background music, and because there were so many arrows being fired, it started to feel sort of repetitive for my tastes. Great game overall, and thank you for your hard work!
