How does your game fit the theme?
Inspired by dual purpose game mechanics, we thought to allow the player to gain control of environmental objects by trading control of their main weapon. This flips the power dynamic between out of control and in control with each throw of the sword.

Did your team create the art for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

Yes

We created all art during the game jam

Did your team create the audio for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

No

We used pre-existing audio

aand we got a winner xD

this game is sooo fun to play (and to listen to the funky music)

Music was enjoyable and the game was fun as well. I think if you added a bit of leeway when jumping off platforms would improve it because at the moment, it can make the jumping feel a bit unresponsive

Submitted(+1)

The presentation and aesthetic is incredible. I would only add a bit of wiggle-room when it comes to jumping accuracy.

What a cool BG music as well as cool gameplay! Nice work!

Fun game, i loved the color shceme and the artstyle, very pelasing. Good job !

Brilliant game that felt really satisfying once you nailed a level. The only thing holding the game back in my opinion was the jump mechanic. I found that pressing jump and forward would make me clip tiles and slipping off the edge was too punishing.

a really cute game with a nice concept behind it! i feels very well polished and is easy to understand, great job!

Great presentation! Timing was a bit too hard for me, but the gameplay was pretty satisfying :D Great Job!

The execution is really well done and overall this game is very fun to play. My only complaint is that the controls and movement didn't feel as good as I had wished. I think some of the hitboxes around the level ground are a bit misleading as well. But otherwise, it was really fun! Give my game a try too :)

Yo’,
This is very good, good art and sound, the idea is interesting.

Great execution on a good idea! Very polished and fun!

Wow this game is incredibly polished for 48 hours and the level design is amazing! (I especially enjoyed the beginning of level 3 where your shown what the bounce pad does when an enemy walks over it)

Developer

Thanks for noticing that, we did that one purposefully but we thought no one would notice!

Really enjoyed the puzzles that came out of the balancing act between when to use and lose your weapon

I loved it, ist a great mechanic, level desing of level 3 is a bit hard tho but great work!

The aesthetics and music are great! The levels were very interesting. Very good work!

Fantastic puzzle game!

So polished with well thought out puzzle sections that are sometimes difficult but mostly fair.

Controls/movement were a bit finicky for me (especially on corners) and not sure why the right mouse button was chosen over the left. Checkpoint system also might have gone a long way towards making the difficulty a little more manageable.

Overall though, a really awesome game!

Haha this was something we discussed after submitting, like why did we choose RMB? It was because we originally wanted the player to be able to swing the sword against enemies with LMB but ultimately didn’t have the time to animate and  implement it

Great Presentation!

Loved the dual mechanic and the animations felt really good.  Nicely done!

Very well-made puzzle game and great presentation.

This is amazing!!! Such a polished game, great mechanic! Ppl seem to complain about the movement, but I think its the sword the really sells the gameplay. Not the actual movement. The throwing was nice and the level design, just amazing!
