How does your game fit the theme?
There are too many systems on your ship that are spiraling out of control, not enough Ziggys to handle the chaos

Amazing presentation quality! Perhaps when you have time to refine things, you could introduce the failing systems one at a time so the player gets used to the systems? I can also imagine this working great in VR. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for checking us out! we very much want to try and see how the games plays in VR :) cheers for the feedback!

Really well made game for a jam. It looks very good and the voice acting is nice. I was struggling with understanding how the game plays at first but it was a pretty fun experience. I kinda feel bad for the Ziggys though.

Developer

Thank you for the honest feedback and thanks for playing! :D

It was a pretty panicky experience for me. At the beginning, I was struggling with what I've been doing, but after a bit I kinda got the hang of the process changing the ziggys. Could probably use with speeding up the gameover/restart process though. Other than that, good game!

Wanted to try this out, but sadly kept getting  an error whenever I tried to run it. Certainly looks good from the screenshots and video though!

Developer

What was the error? We will try to fix issues that prevent people from playing, if we can, we will upload a build that you can download that has critical bug fixes.

Error was "The procedure entry point CreateDXGIFactory2 could not be located in the dynamic link library dxgi.dll". I've had similar errors with Unreal before (with DXGIGetDebugInterface1)  which I think are to do with the fact I'm on Windows 7 (though they don't usually stop the game from running). Based on everyone else's positive feedback though, I seem to be the exception not the rule, so I wouldn't worry about it. =)

I got the same error, I actually got that same error with most UnrealEngine games from the Jam.

Extremely impressive - took me a bit to get used to the loop of creating ziggies and feeding the systems, but felt really rewarding when I did. I wish that the game-over & restart process took less time though! bahahahhahah

Was it you who mentioned the game being frame-y on streams? I had the issue but it wasn't at all related to performance - the game was running buttery-smooth on my screen but when I looked at the stream it was very slideshow-y.

Might be some issue with game captures or screen refresh rates? I'm not sure, honestly.

Developer

Thanks!
Yeah, I did mention about that. The game seems to take all the GPU it can have leaving none for the capture software, we haven't quite worked out how to fix it yet but hopefully we'll work it out soon!

Submitted

if that’s the issue, forcing v-sync on or locking the framerate might fix it.

Developer

Yeah, locking the frame rate was the way to fix it (in most but not all circumstances). We uploaded a patch on another page with just an FPS lock so future viewers should hopefully have a better experience!

Developer

I think the streaming stuttering is caused by GPU encoding, as the game uses a lot of GPU power (being UE4), so encoding a stream in parallel causes issues. If you use CPU encoding, it should be smooth during a stream. Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it!

Really impressive game for a 48 hours jam, very tricky at times but a  lot of fun.

The buttons and levers did not seem to work for me.

There are instructions on the wall that show you how to use the machines

Great Game

It would be nice if the text was a little bit bigger but it's just a detail

Developer(+1)

We would have loved to make the text bigger in time for the jam, but splitting up the dialog into smaller chunks unfortunately took too much time with everything else going on! Acutely aware of it though, we'll look into it!

Submitted(+6)

Wow, I really enjoyed this! Having all of the ship's systems to keep up with with the Ziggys is fun, and I loved the voice acting. It's a bit easy to fail right after starting, but I don't regret sticking with it. Awesome work!

I loved ziggys shame you have to dispose of them afterwards

Good Game, very nice idea.

The rigging on Ziggy is very good props to whoever made it
