Cool game, bunny seems to take damage randomly and would have prefered instant restarts instead of having to wait 3 seconds or go through a menu.

Developer

Thanks!! We’ll be changing many things after the jam, those include the issues you just mentioned.

Really liked the design, was hard to understand what to do at first, but once figured out was a fun experience.

Developer

Thanks! :D

Once I went back and read the instructions it was a very enjoyable experience :)    Good amount of challenge and pretty responsive system.   I did feel like it was registering more clicks than I was making.

Developer

Yeah, we’ve been told that. Surely looking into the clicks thing. Also thinking on making a little tuto. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Good job guys, really charming mood (audio + visuals)

Developer(+1)

Thanks, we kinda went for that with the audio, as in trying to not make the player rage whilst still staying retro. The tileset we open sourced from kenney.nl !!

Cool, looks great and appropriate sound, the nature of the game means you die alot, i'd just let the music play instead of looping it on restart so it feels a bit smoother. Very nice.

Developer

Thank you for playing!, we added the music late into the process, so it didn’t get as much work as we would like, it also only seems to be playing in mono.

Finished every level! Having a key to stop the bunny might be a lot easier for some people than clicking him since he's so small, but I personally had no issues. I like a lot of the game elements that you added to the game and you did a good job teaching how they all worked. A lot of interesting levels could definitely come from them! Some levels definitely seemed too straightforward and didn't make good use of the tools and knowledge the player had.

Overall though a solid entry and really great if it's the first you guys did!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing, we’ll stick to point-and-click as this feels like it could work on mobile. Thank you very much for the feedback, as it really helps us improve!!! Cheers.

restarting a few seconds after automatically would be cool, or just pressing a single button. a lot of fun to play as it is though

Developer (1 edit)

Hey, thank you for playing, there are a lot of things we wish to improve on, once this jam is over we’ll start working on it!

Submitted(+1)

Love the game! I wish you'd instantly restart when you die. Besides that, great job! It makes me go YES!

Developer

We’re really glad when we come across happy comments, thank you. We’ll continue polishing the game until it is has no dumb set backs. Godspeed m8

Nice game! I think I got into a broken state on the level with the bridge and the enemy - retrying the level still maintained the "click" state, so I couldn't time the bridge raise. But overall it's a fun concept, with a lovely style! I'd also suggest making the game loop easier - just reset the level automatically if the player dies.

Developer

Yo’,
Thank you for playing, we’re glad you enjoy, and I can assure you that every level is beatable, sadly because of a few bugs and ux issues, it feels more of “luck” than an actual puzzle, but it all comes down to positioning and timing.
We’ll be working on improving this game after the jam.

Submitted(+1)

Right, I think the level was working correctly when it initially loaded, but after a few deaths something seemed to go wrong and the bridge would immediately raise itself without me clicking.

Yeah 😅, we’re gonna playtest and flatten the learning curve as we add more lvls once the rating week is over. Thanks for the feedback :D

Some cool ideas, but a lot of small things could have been executed better. For instance the music is louder in the left ear, and it starts over with every level, meaning you only really hear the first five seconds of it. Clicking the bunny to stop it in place is a bit difficult with such a tiny sprite, so maybe it should have been a button like the spacebar or something. Also there are several levels that just play themselves, which doesn't seem like great game design.

Developer

Hi, thank you for playing, this being our first jam and our first game, we made a lot of mistakes, but we like the game, so we’ll keep working on it to polish it further in new versions after the jam is over. Thank you very much for the feedback.

The art worked really well for this sort of game as did the audio. The concept was great and executed well. The feedback I have has been mentioned and you seem to be aware of the bugs. So I look forward to playing a more polished version of this. Good job :)

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it!, We’ll be working on those issues and uploading an improved version once the jam is done, so stay tuned!.

Solid core - the game truly screws with the player as they are left to be a glorified bystander - enjoyed!

Developer

Yo’, thank you for playing it!, We’ll keep working on improving some UX issues that we only noticed until it was too late.

Submitted(+1)

I really enjoyed the game and the concept is great. I didn't really like the art style but I know it was pre-made so I'm sure it was the best you could find. Overall very fun, good job :)

Developer

The art we got from Kenny.nl, I liked it for the concept we were going for, anyway, I’m glad you enjoyed the game.

The game's ok.

It seems like both pressing AND releasing the mouse button counts as a click, so you lose more health from a quick click than pressing and holding the button.

Developer

Now that’s weird. That shouldn’t happen at all. Will definitely look into it. The hitboxes are rather big, so probably that’s what happened? Also the web version isn’t really responsive so that could have been too. Thanks for pointing it out

Submitted

I was playing the Win64 version.

I also had issues with the web version. None of those were present in the linux version though. :) Your game idea (though in a completely different genre) is similar to mine, i.e. controlling the level around the player instead of the player itself. I think I would prefer a keyboard-centric control scheme to stop the player and move objects around though: I found myself miss-clicking a lot as hitboxes seem to be quite large. Also later levels included a bit of trial-and-error to get the timing right - and in some cases I wasn't even aware what I did differently when it eventually worked out! Assigning a key (like 'R') to quickly restart the level and an option to skip the initial countdown would make those parts a lot more enjoyable. I liked the overall difficulty curve though! Also the minimal design works great!

Here's a short list of bugs I encountered:

  • The countdown is shown behind world objects
  • Survibunny is shown in front of the pause menu though
  • Choosing 'Resume' closes the pause menu but the game will freeze
  • Clicking 'Retry' seems to not consume the input event: if there is a clickable object below, it will start moving once the countdown has finished (that you've to wait till then makes it even more annoying!).
  • Choosing 'Exit to Menu' switches to the main menu,  but buttons won't work anymore
  • Blood particles don't stop emitting on pressing 'Retry' after an enemy ran into Survibunny
Developer

Thank you so very much for the invaluable insight. Some of the bugs I encountered I couldn’t properly explain, like why platforms will move after restarting the lvl when in truth I was clicking the platform and the restart button. As you pointed out there’s many bugs to fix, after playing it through I noticed so many things that could have easily been avoided, like the hitbox size. All in all an amazing comment. Again, thank you very very much for taking your time to be thorough. Have a good one, cheers.

Solid game. An on screen reset button would've been nice though, it took me a while before I realised I had to reset with my keyboard.

Developer

Haha yeah, it literally occurred to us after the deadline. Thanks for the feedback :D

Style is perfect!

Developer

Thank you! :D

This is a great concept executed well! The minimalist graphics are a perfect match for the gameplay. Had a few usability issues with the browser version, but I'll chalk that up to that version being weird.

Developer

Hey, thank you!, yeah we noted a few issues after submitting the game, and by then it was too late, we’ll be working on improving this game for the Godot Wild Jam this weekend, so if you’re interested, stay tuned!

Promissing idea, good tutorial / learning curve but later Levels are too hard (even possible?)

Developer

Thank you very much for the feedback! :D. All levels are possible. The learning curve is steep because we didn't really have much time to think them through. Will take it into consideration for the next time. Godspeed m8
