Time is always passing, which means it’s possible to have your choice taken away from you. After you make a choice, there is no way to access it exactly the same way again.

Wow, this was pretty intense! I loved it! As said below, this is a really cool take on the theme. Very well done :)
Really cool take on the theme. I got sucked in the story really fast :D Nice work, Keep it up !
Very cool twist on the genre! I like the idea of having a very short story and being able to explore different aspects of it through repetition, especially when choices start to carry over
Cool take on a text-only game. I was able to play it on my phone, which is really cool!
This was neat! It was a cool idea to add the extra stress (lack of control) to the typically-slow-paced story game genre. Good job!
I started reading all casually, and finished a nervous wreck, but in a good way! Really fun atmosphere to the story and I felt responsible in a way text games rarely deliver. Awesome job!
That was thrilling! I never did manage to figure out how not to die, if that's at all possible, but had a lot of fun trying out different paths, including never pressing anything at all and just letting the timer keep running out for every section. 💃 The backpack especially was exciting. Is it possible to not die? 😅 Great writing either way!
Thank you! I'm super glad you enjoyed it! There is one ending available, have you been able to search the tourists backpack?
Really fun experience. I'm not a big fan of text based games, but this is a good one.
Though the bug was weird, I read the comment and was ready for it so it didnt unsettle me too much. Could have been nice to see the text accompanied with some frame shots of your surroundings. I like how you restart every time, though if you remember what happened, im not too sure why you ever re enter the limo? Apart from that the story was cool enough, and I enjoyed the game!
I loved it ! The story was simple, interesting and engaging, and I definitely wanted to explore more. Good job ! Also, great use of Twine it seems.
Yaay!!! I'm super glad you did. Excited to see what I can expand post jam.
it was very fun and i really enjoyed the story :)
Thank you so much for playing!
Cool story game! I like the die-and-repeat mechanic a lot. It did seem a bit unpredictable about how much time I would have to make a choice, but that may have been part of the "out of control" theme. I did sometimes feel like I didn't have time to read everything before making a choice. I also wasn't always sure when there was new text vs repeated text from before, so I may have skipped some, but I'm not sure.
Hey, thanks for playing! Our concept was that once you chose a certain line of dialogue/action, you'd never be able to repeat it exactly the same way again. The main beats of the story were repeated, so it's totally reasonable to skip them after multiple rounds!
Very interesting concept and well written, love the effect upon a rewind. There's a bit of a logic leap to "solving" it though. Unless if there was another ending? Has a bit of "try out all the options" to it.
Thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Were you able to escape the limo? Because, the path to do that is possible without exhausting all other endings.
Ended up not going into the limo - was that the intended escape?
Yes, it was!! You can achieve it from the first round, though I personally believe it's a lot more fun to play through all the various endings first!
Extremely clever take on the theme! Not a lot of narrative games in this jam -- it's nice to find another. I really enjoyed the soft reset concept; it reminds me a bit of "legacy" board games where you make permanent changes for subsequent play-throughs.
I see that you opted for a timer mechanic for responses just like I did. We should discuss further how to refine these because while mine suffers from being invisible and a little too forgiving, yours may be a bit punishing especially for slow readers. The added pressure of a visible but ambiguously long timer really adds some intensity to the game!
A well done story game !
A really cool story - immersive, creepy, and a lot of fun to find the alternate branchings of the story!
I played some fun games this jam but wow this game made me feel emotions!
It was eerie when you started messing with the text and options. Got a strong "stuck in purgatory" kinda vibe, like i was reliving my last moments with my unfortunate companions.
Well written and you used the few tools you had very effectivly.
I would love to se what you could do with it if you had more time :)
Good job! As said by other people, when the text started to decay, I got really tense hahah. Its a nice loop and I think your writing was immersive.
I would only add some background sound and some SFX, such as maybe rain drops, cars on the road sound, car crash, etc
Congratz for your game!
Man I don't think I've ever been so happy to not enter a car.
Excellent writing, kept my attention all the way through, intriguing mysteries and characters!
Theme was extremely well implemented as well! Overall just a really swell experience, awesome to see some text based stuff from time to time!
Only real issue I came across was that the game seemed to skip ahead REALLY quickly on some screens.
At first I thought "oh, interesting story," but then everything has perished, the text started to decay, and that's when my interest drastically increased! It gave me some vibes of the Doki Doki LC ahahah, I like story-based text games. Although, I truly think you should've added the ambient sound on the background, it's always strange to play the game without sounds, especially if it's a mystery type game. The sounds of glitches would make the twist greater too! But apart from that, I didn't expect to see a game like that in this jam, so you surprised me. Good job!
