Fun and simple arcade style game. Had a good bit of fun with it. The graphics and animations were quite good (I love the slow down and zoom of the slash). The music and audio also felt really nice as well. :D

Feedback:

  • The lives system is a little bit confusing. I realised after a bit of playing that the lives are more there for if you miss a dummy, and not there for the spikes (which more often than not, insta-kill you). I think the solution is to either get temporary invincibility after hitting a spike, and only lose one life OR replace the hearts with pictures of the dummies, and make the spikes properly insta-kill you (not drain all the hearts really quickly).
  • Only other feedback or idea would be to give the player a multiplier if they hit multiple dummies at once. This encourages more risk/reward gameplay, and adds another layer of skill ontop.

Good job overall, keep up the great work. :)

Love the music!

I really like the way you pause a bit while charging for the attack allowing the player to rethink and plan the next move. Great game :)

Yeah, took me a few goes to get into it, but I really like it now that I get it!

There are heaps of cool consequences of the design, you made really great choices. I like how the dash getting faster and longer and more out of control also is what enables you to continue playing successfully even as the game itself speeds up.

Loved the dash. Missing a little bit of feedback though.

I love the art and music, but, as many people pointed out, the game doesn't really go with the theme. Also, the character's movement is a bit too slow and the only way to exit the game is through the task manager

Fun idea, and you got the freeze frame and screen shake in!

I didn't understand what ended the game, or how many hits I could take

I have to admit, the music is very nice and exciting, even if it's repetitive, it's a pleasant repetition, the animations are really cool, but you need a tutorial inside the game! And avoid compressing in .rar, not everyone has the option to rar, always compress in .zip for this kind of situation! But great work!

Thanks! Ill keep it mind for next time.

Nice stop of time and zoom when dashing.

The spikes can insta kill you when you get stuck or run into them. (Maybe delete or disable them from damaging you again)

Doesn't really go with the theme very well, but love it none the less. The amount of juice and polish is outstanding. Well done

I don't think it goes with the theme but i like the sprites and music. Gameplay is a bit barebones.

Interesting concept!  Took me awhile to figure out LMB was "left mouse button," though.  I was pressing L, M, and B on my keyboard pepehands

I love the idea where the dashes get longer the more you use them, but I never got far enough where it was "out of control". The collisions were a little wonky, I felt like I lost health even if I didn't touch anything. The dash was really fun and satisfying to execute. Fun game!

The game was fun! but i don't think the game fits theme that good.

and some game feel could help a lot with the dush.
