I would have liked to play more but there were softlock-bugs
- an opened door i could go through
- the room that changes but the character is not on the screen

I quite like this concept.  There is something really cool here.  I think it needs some more work to get there though.  Good job.

Controls are overwhelming. Would be fun to master in a full game if introduced slowly though.

Good job!

Hello! I played your game on stream! If you want to see your game played with live feedback, you can find the VOD and watch from this sheet: http://bit.ly/bean-stream

I really like this. However the movement continues a slight bit after releasing the button, which is a bit annoying. And the lack of music and sounds kinda ruins the dungeon feel

Submitted(+1)

I wish the movement was a little tighter, it feels like it's hard to control at points but I like this dungeon explorer, I would love to see this polished after the jam is over.

Nice game, I really like the pixel art. The controls feel a bit floaty (which makes spikes hard to avoid) and it's sometimes hard to tell when attacks hit an enemy, but apart from that it's a solid dungeon crawler. I don't feel the transformation adds much to the game right now, but it has potential to be really satisfying.

Good job overall :)

Fun game and really cool concept! I liked the atmosphere of the game but it needs quite a bit more polish. For example, the melee attack doesn't follow you so it looks really strange to use while you're moving around. There is also a lack of visual and audio effects which makes the game seem quite bland, with a bit more feedback to the player you could really bring the world alive! Also, there is way too many spikes in a lot of the rooms, the game feels like one where you run through rooms and kill enemies, not carefully traverse around spikes while trying to dodge attacks which sucks a lot of the fun out of it. My instant reaction when I go into a new room is to run forward and often I would end up running over a lot of spikes. However, overall I did enjoy it the game and I hope you keep developing it since it has a lot of potential, good job!

I like the ambition in this one, though it feels the jam's very short time might not have been enough for what you had in mind? I had a few bugs (possibly related to my computer), such as no sounds, and some later levels seemed to have, eg enemies shooting from outside the arena, or the player being left in a previous room? I really liked the art, and liked all the different attacks! I wasn't sure what each did, but they looked interesting. I'm listening to the music mentioned in the credits, and I think it would fit your game very well. The main mechanic is well implemented, I like how the demonic form goes towards enemies and then attack them! The first rooms play very well and have interesting designs, and the game seems to have a cohesive vision in its art, design and gameplay, great teamwork!

Beautiful pixel art <3 The game could use a bit more feedbacks, but it was really fun to play nonetheless! Well done :)

Really nice theme and aesthetic, only drawbacks were a couple bugs and that I couldn't really tell what was going on a lot of the time. Overall great job

Awesome little roguelite. The abilities were neat and I'd love to see a bigger version of this in the future. Awesome work on this!

Submitted(+3)

A lot of potential, it felt like I had a lot of abilities to deal with, even at the beginning. Perhaps introducing each ability in a different "floor" or level would be good? Other than that, I like the dungeon-crawler idea of the game and the theme is pretty interesting. This has a lot of room to be even better!

Thanks for the feedback! We did in fact have two items for both world 2 and 3 but the doors and room manager bugged out once world 1 was finished, sadly.

Really liked the art style, but it is a shame that there was no sound whatsoever.

This game reminded me a lot of binding of isaac and nuclear throne, both games I adore, so you certainly have my attention.

I just think that there needs to be some kind of feedback for when you hit an enemy, and the out of control thing felt a little tedious.

However, I am really amazed that this is a game jam game, and really just feels like an alpha of a full game with awesome graphics. I really think you could develop this into something more.

Developer(+3)

Thanks for the feedback!

We have a post-jam build that is bug-less so there's damage indicators, the player controls aren't slippery anymore, and the 3 worlds we put together may actually be played (currently it breaks after the 1st world). I'm also writing a devlog about what has been fixed, and (more importantly) a whole lot about where we could take the game from here in order to flesh it out. So if you enjoyed what we had here, maybe keep an eye on this after voting for the game jam ends!

Thank you for submitting your game to the stream! =)

Very cool the proposal of your game! But I thought that the form of possession did not fit well. You can improve a lot, especially making the movement firmer, too. Theft of souls became very strong, so that it left me without fear of dying. haha

But it's a jam game, so it's okay! Continue development, as it has potential! Thanks! Peace!

Very very nice arts and I m a fond of Rogue like games. So feels very nice. Little bugs were encountered during the gameplay, but overall great presentation. Would like to hear some music to it:) Flutes and fiddles:)

Developer(+1)

I like the flutes and fiddles idea. maybe even an askewed version for when the demon has taken over.

Submitted(+2)

The art was really appealing, and the abilities were well thought out. I wish there was a bit more feedback when hitting enemies or getting hurt.

Amazing pixel art and smooth mechanics! The "player loses control of character" may be a frustrating concept but it's executed so that you can plan around it. Only thing I would mention is that under controls it lists abilities that you may not have yet (e.g. space for demon shield) so maybe the controls shouldn't be listed at the beginning if they're upgrades you get in the future. Overall, a great game! Well done :)

Gorgeous art! The abilities are super cool. Taking away control from the player in the demon context is cool, although a little jarring. But it certainly fits the theme!
