This was fun! I would love to see this expanded on with more elements.
Neat game! Enjoyed crafting tools to get passed obstacles. Some things are a bit rough around the edges but in the time of the jam you did a good job :)
The mechanics are really cool!
nice rpg with crafting mechanics. like it
This game It's really cool, It surprised me with how fun It is, and I liked the details, like the secret sword, and the fact that you can use it in the ice. I loved.
I liked the idea and had fun figuring out the spells I could make. I was stoked to find the Flaming Sword! I wish the last boss was beatable, I couldn't figure it out. all around great job!
Thank you! The final boss is beatable but it's really badly done, I just like to forget about that part of the game.
Very interesting idea! Combining the elements to make new things gave me a good dose of nostalgia from games like Doodle God. :D
Good graphics and good idea, it was fun!
Thanks!
Really good job! I liked the creativity in combining elements and having to use them to solve all the puzzles. The flaming sword and special background was also really cool!
Thanks!
This is a very nice idea, but I felt like the combinations were kinda weird. Frost + Heat giving wind, for example. Besides this, it’s fun!
I 100% agree with you, thanks for the feedback!
Frost + Heat is kind of wonky I agree but really I was trying to make it seem like those were referring to hot and cold temperatures rather than frost and heat themselves which actually would cause wind so yeah I guess I didn't achieve that as well as I would have hoped. I really appreciate the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I love games where you combine stuff.
I feel kinda conflicted about the combat, I dont think it really fits into this game. The puzzles were enjoyable, making fire to melt the ice or making ice to cross the water. Level 3 I sorta just skipped or it was very easy.
If you wanna expand this game your focus probably should be on the combining part and desigining puzzles around that because that's where your game shines.
Yeah I thought a lot about that too and just think that I wanted the tutorial to be about making a sword but yeah combat totally feels out of place and I wanted to remove it but I couldn't come up with a better tutorial at the beginning but maybe I could teach how things like wind, fire, and ice interact with the world automatically after you craft them. Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it!
So I assume you made wind in level 2 but really that was for level three which is probably why it was so easy to beat
I actually never realised I used wind, I beat level 2 by making the water into ice and then just melting the ice cube with key. Maybe I used it by accident? At level 3 the ice with key in it sort of just flew towards me.
Yeah, wind doesn't react with anything in level 2, but when you make it, in level 3 the key will blow under the spikes.
Couldn't get past level two. Interactions are very free-form, which is cool, but it's hard to see what the game wants you to do exactly.
(I get that the key is in a block of ice, but no matter what I tried, I couldn't get it)
Try melting the ice, I know that this part of the game can be confusing and I started implementing a better tutorial about how the objects needed for a puzzle will automatically appear in the game world but for the full game I am going to make an equip system which will hopefully clear up all the confusion. Thanks for your feedback!
I couldn't get past level 2. I made wind but I have no idea how to use it
Wind is not what you need to pass level 2, if you create an item that is needed for a puzzle it will automatically be brought in to the game world, wind blows stuff around in future levels though.
Hey mate. I have a bit of feedback.
The music is really nice and, from what I could see, this is a very good game since you said it was made in Scratch. I could not really beat level 2, because I could not get the key tho.
Thanks! I know, I tried to make things more clear but I didn't have any time, the key is frozen in a block of ice you need to figure out a way to unfreeze it to move on. Thanks for the feedback!
Alchemy-based games for the win! The music and sound effects were awesome
I couldn't get past level 2. I crafted 8 items and also it said "you found a secret" twice. I tried freezing the lake but don't know what I'm doing wrong :\
Fun ideas though, I love crafting!
Weird. So you froze the lake, the key needs to now be unfrozen to unlock the door and get to level 3 it takes a second to melt the ice with the fire but you can use the secret that you found ;) and melt the ice immediately if that doesn't work it might be a bug, there's lots.
Ahh okay. But I didn't even freeze the lake lol. I couldn't figure out how to switch from the sword
So the sword automatically switches to the fire sword and if you make an item needed for a puzzle it will appear in the game world and you can drag it around. Sorry I should have made things a bit more clear.
Ohhhh okay I just played again and figured it out haha :D
Alright cool
Nice job on the mechanics! easy to understand
Thanks!
Nice Game :)
had a similar idea :D
Thanks! Matchika is a super cool name but I don't have windows, :( Otherwise I would have played it.
