Both the artsyle and level of polish are astonishing. Controlling both characters simultaneously is extremely challenging tho. Well done, great job! :)
Wow! The Graphics look amazing! The game is so polished, artstyle and music suits perfectly well
I like the art style and I haven't seen anything like this in the jam. Its hectic fun to focus on two things at once. Quite polished as well. nice music as well.
every pixel on this project sold me. from the store page to the sprites. i loved the colours, the game mechanics, i think it played really well with the theme. the only thing is; that it made me wish i had someone to play with. as my hand-eye always seemed to lag behind. ill try it again after my training arc. great work again
The presentation is excellent, from graphics to sounds it all meshes really nicely! The gameplay as others have mentioned is interesting, but, a bit one-note and could use some things to spice it up, perhaps different kinds of enemies, and perhaps a bit more incentive to keep the campfire topped off, perhaps above a certain threshold it slowly regenerates the health of players close to it? Also with the UI being so big, it might not be bad to have the meteors and fallen stars actually fall in front of it. All in all a pretty solid showing, nice work!
Absolutely gorgeous art and music, the attention to detail is amazing. The gameplay gets a bit repetitive after a while, mostly because of the lack of diversity in enemies, activities and difficulty, but the core idea willl be great once expanded on. I really liked this one, very much polished.
Gorgeous pixel art. Really dig the overall aesthetic!
Loved it. Sound effects would be great!
What an astounding presentation! Art is sick! If I can give you a tip - it is good to not give tutorial to read before gameplay, because it is always out of context and for me, for example, it is hard to remember what I read a second ago :D I think the best approach is to make it merged into the game - controls appear for a while in the background and it should be obvious that you can pick up stars and bring it to the fire :D Overall pretty pleasurable game, with some screenshake and other juiciness related thing could be much better, so try to develop it this way!
Thank you very much! Yeah I slapped in that tutorial haphazardly at the end haha. Thanks for the suggestions. I definitely agree
Super amazing art Stoff! The game is really challenging but the super fluid animations got me trying super hard, I loved the little characters story! The music is also a jam. Congrats super impressive!
Thanks Chris! I seem to have a bad habit of hard jam games haha
I love that this is one of those games that if you wanted to, you could play with another player and it would be a good social experience. The dual objectives that pulled you in different directions was a bit mind-bendy in a good way. The pulling on the chain is an interesting limitation and I wish a bit more was done with that (though I understand it is a game jam :P )
And the art. Wow! Everything from the UI to characters is great!
All in all, great job!
Thank you very much! I've always been a fan of multitasking games but definitely could do a lot more with the gameplay if I designed it for coop. What did you have in mind for the chain pulling? I suppose making it so Ray could lift Nor or something would have been fun haha.
I was really excited when I saw the thumbnail and screenshots - and I'm not disappointed at all! I love this art style and the colors. The controls are smooth and difficult, but not impossible to learn. It was a lot of fun to play this game! Definitely one of my favorites of this game jam :D
haha when I started reading this I was expecting to see "but I was disappointed" for some reason. Glad you liked the art and enjoyed the experience :D
This is haaaaaaaaaaaard~ I had a hard time learning the controls and in managing to play with them. Loved the artstyle, fun experience but I wish I could play better. *Pssst* Hi Stoff~

Hey Agua :D Yeah definitely needed more ramp up for the player. Glad you like the art though!
This game has really nice esthetics, well done. Like a lot of games (including mine) it is like rubbing your tummy in circles while patting your head at the same time, but presented nicely. Love the challenge, feels fair. Well done and thank you for making this.
Thank you very much Java!
Great game! Loved the artsyle, although the gameplay was very tough for me.. can't wrap my head around controlling two different things at the same time haha
Thanks! Yeah I admit I didn't ramp the game well enough. I think I could have led with you using each individually for a bit at the beginning and then have things start combining.
Game looks super nice, and found myself playing it longer than expected! It'd be cool to polish it a little further with some sound effects and a way to get your health back by the fire (maybe they can sit down together?)! Great game!!! :D
Thanks! I really like that sitting by the fire idea :D
The gameplay was very fun - simple, clean. Music and art were great, but I would suggest you add some more sound effects (for the attacks and taking damage for example) the game would feel more responsive I think. Overall - 9/10, good job and for 2 days... NiCe!
Thank you very much! Yeah I definitely wanted to have some sfx and a few more enemy types. Maybe sometime I'll add a version that is a little more feature complete. Glad you enjoyed it though!
The game is really simple and linear, but the artstyle makes this look amazing. How about adding a way to hurt the enemies back? Also, when the chain gets extended to the full length, the characters seem to glitch out a bit. Great game!
EDIT: There was an attack button (F). That makes things way better. I would love for more variety though. Great game!
Thanks! Yeah the tugging is a little janky haha. There is an attack button actually! It's x on gamepad and shift/f on keyboard.
really? thanks! i didn't know the controls
Amazing graphics, however the main gameplay loop got a bit old. A bit more variation with enemies would make this game much better.
100% agree! As jams go you kinda just run out of time haha. Glad you like the graphics though :)
