I really like the way the tutorial was put together haha! 😄 the game is fun!
Cool game. I actually experimented with almost this exact same idea for a jam a year ago. This is much better executed!
I hope you can try our my game for this year too!
That was quite fun, cool concept! I like the back and forth between shooting enemies, recharging yourself and recharging the beacons. I noticed that even when the beacon is fully charged it will rain your power, not sure if this is intentional, but I kind of like it, it makes it so you have to think about where you are going and not get too close to them unless you have to. Well done!
The whole game feels like a good mix of skillful, yet chaotic! The instructions were a little unclear at first, but it was fast to understand. Well done!
The balancing for how quickly you lose health and energy and how quickly you can gain it back while desperately flying to a different pylon leads to some really frantic moments trying to maintain control of the whole field. It’s a sort of energy that’s hard to come by a lot of the time, I like it!
There's nothing in this game that bugs me. It just works... and it's fun. Graphics, although simple, do their job. Great job!
this game is really cool as it has to make you think about how you spend your energy.
The navigation felt good! I think this is one of the biggest issues with the jam, tons of games having weird navigation. You good thing is...yours was great! Felt smooth and cohesive with the type of gameplay.
Very interesting theme interpretation , and the tutorial was really helpful :)
Quite creative game! I love the idea that I should get close to the enemy to get energy. Nice try!
Interesting game! I think it would be more fun if nodes with full energy would not waste my energy.
yeah that's something we wanted to work towards however we didn't get time for it. Definitely something we would want in the future.
This is nicely polished, but I failed to protect the space penguins :(
Great work, I like the concept and the tutorial was well done!
Very hard fast paced management game, I really like the fact that the enemies both help and harm you! I wish it had a score so I can know when I am improving. It seems almost impossible to get to all the nodes in time at wave 2 but maybe I'm just bad. The music and art is good and very fitting for such a game
It's definitely possible with practice! For me an average round goes to about wave 5 or so. Glad you liked it!
This is pretty hard! Its fast paced and I'm sure I could get good at it.
Perfect as an arcade game.
Super hectic, but love the fast fast gameplay! Who doesn't like a good slime invasion?
The sprites are proper cute and simple, and the music gives off that nice SC-FI feel.
Only just learned about the healing mechanic through a comment, so that made my games last a *little* while longer. Tutorial was a little hard to understand, but its relatively easy to get the gist of the game.
Cool game idea! It was very hectic, maybe make a way to regain health because after a certain wave you die very quickly.
There actually is a way to regain health! Killing the red slimes can sometimes drop health pickups! Glad you liked it!
Cool game! Loved the sprites! :)
Really great game! Chaotic resource and attention management is fun (if a bit difficult for me)! Wave counter doesn't seem to reset when your die, and you have to fight the controller a bit since you can't lift and right click at the same time. But overall, really, really good. (Also I wish there were more penguins cause the one in the saucer is cute ^^)
Fun concept! Could use some fleshing out. Gameplay is a little confusing, even with the tutorial. Didn't realize at first that you die when any of the nodes runs out of power (I think that's what happened? Not sure.) and not just when your health runs out. Waves didn't seem to reset upon dying and restarting.
