Very interesting style and concept. The way the keys are bound is really cool and controlling a mage and melee character at the same time is always fun. Good jam game.

Game has really great character animation!

However I think this sort of game concept is the sort of thing that sounds really good on paper but requires a lot of changing around to function well. It's really awkward to control both characters well and it makes for a really clunky experience.

The game had a really unique idea, and I think it has a lot of potential! Each character being controlled by the other was an interesting concept, and it made for some interesting challenges when trying to control both at once. The controls did feel a bit too unwieldy for me though, and they could've been explained better in game, since at the start I just sort of randomly moved about not realising what the controls were. You could do a lot with the idea, still - it could make for a really interesting dungeon crawler or even puzzle game, if you wanted to do that in future! I really liked the artwork as well, particularly the character designs - they were distinct and unique. The enemies looked good too, but one thing I would say is that the environment felt a bit empty, so maybe a bit of scenery or foliage could've made it a bit more vibrant. Regardless, it was still a nice game, with a solid idea, so good work!

Really beautiful game, but I couldn't play due to bugs :(

Developer

Oh no... can you tell me what were the bugs?

Submitted

Sometimes the characters got stuck on the edge of the screen and couldn't move

I loved the art in this game and it's a really neat concept. However, I really struggled with the controls and couldn't find a way to kill the bugs. Would love to see more of a tutorial here.

Wow, the art is GORGEOUS! I love the opening scene, and the characters in game look amazing! The enemies too! Really just overall beautiful!

Overall some great concepts throughout the game. I really enjoyed the opening cutscene, and the concepts of being tied together and the overlapping controls were interesting! I think however both of them together are a bit hard to handle. The art is well done as well. Overall good work :)

Thank you very much!

Animation is lovely! so is the opening! but the combined controls, it was a little hard for me.

Thank you for trying it out! I realize now that the controls were a bit too much but oh well.

I'm a bit conflicted with this, having the character controls over lap is a really cool idea, and having them tethered so they don't get too far is really good too! It still felt a little weird, maybe it was because two of the buttons overlapped? Maybe WASD/RDFG might have been easier to control, or I could just be bad at the game, that's a good possibility too!

The artstyle in the opening cutscene was beautiful, and the character art was great as well! The level art felt a little lacking, but it's a 48 hr jam, so that's ok! Overall nice job, I like it!

Developer

Yeah, maybe the button combination I chose wasn't the best idea...

The artist got a hand cramp while making the assets so she had to step back and rest... not a great excuse, I know but *shrug*.

Thanks for playing!

Love the visual style and art of the cutscenes at the beginning of the game!
