Those were some fun (and really hard) chemical puzzles! I actually love that there's minimal guidance on how to make components, because it means, like a true scientist, you have to experiment to figure out the rules. And the characters and story add a lot to this game; their small boost of emotional investment gave me the perseverance to push forward.

Others have already mentioned an undo button. Something else that would be neat is a growing catalog of names and "recipes" as they are discovered, I guess kind of like in Doodle God back in the day.

So glad to here you liked it. We really wanted the experimentation aspect to be at the forefront. We didn't want to give the player all the answers.

The catalogue of recipes is a great idea. We are definitely going to work on something like that.

Interesting concept! I'm afraid the game didn't appear to register the puzzle finish on level 1, so I couldn't get very far.

Wow, lovely graphics and music. The puzzle is also laid out really nicely. I found it very hard but had a lot of fun experimenting with the different combinations. I didn’t realise you could rotate to begin with, so maybe having this (and undo) more visible might help! Great work overall, though!

Thank you very much :D We definitely want to do a lot with the interface if we continue development. We kinda ran out of time.

Tough but really great execution!  Art is cute and I like the music a lot.  Would love an undo button to encourage experimentation without taking up a ton of room.

Thank you !! An undo button is a great idea.

this game is so hard.

But that's perfectly fine because the characters are adorable and there is a remarkable amount of story for a game jam puzzle game

great work.

Great concept! Maybe some tweaks to the difficulty would be good

Nice - I had some trouble with it, i.e. the combinations listed in the guide do not necessarily produce what they say they will, or at least don't appear to?  Perhaps they can't produce things if the places they would produce them are filled, but it would be nice to see a grid legend instead of a simple equation legend if that's the caes (since positioning is of utmost importance).
Overall seems fun though.  Very cute.  Music is always nice to have.  I did want to say that the font became difficult to read when it shrank due to having more text in a particular dialogue line.  I also had a bit of trouble because the interface kept only accepting different input... i.e. click / space don't do anything on the game start screen where it kindly says to press enter, but then although several keys are given as commands, the mouse is also required in the puzzle itself.  (It would be really nice to have some keyboard inputs to replace the clicks so then it could be keyboard-only instead of hybrid.)
Definitely don't want to sound harsh though, great job!  ^_^

The art and gameplay is great! I think the difficulty ramps up fast, and it would be cool if there were some simple levels to learn the combinations for new pieces, but asides from that awesome!

thank you, hopefully we can add more puzzles in a future version.

I really liked this game! The graphics, music and presentation were nice - the story was quirky and cute - and most importantly - the puzzles were brilliant!! There are elemental based labratory puzzles where you need to methodically arange the given pieces to get the required configuration to win.

I had a lot of fun being challenged by this game. It looks deceptively simple - but is brilliantly tuned to keep you scratching your head until you find a solution! It only took around 2 hours for me to beat.

I'd highly reccomend reading the page comments to understand some of the important mechanics before playing!

I'm really impressed this was only made in 48 hours! This could be a great game to persue further and release with more levels and content with the proper polish of a game made with more time! I'll keep an eye out :D

THANK YOU, you're far too kind.

Thank you for trying our game, If you are having some issues please consider the following that we weren't able to explain in game:

-Some goals need to be isolated for the level to complete (levels 1,2,3,7,8), goals for levels 4 and 6 can have elements outside them but not inside.

-To beat level 5 (waterfall) you must fill the whole board in exactly 8 moves.

-A bug with level 2 allows you to complete it with excess elements attached to the goal.
