Could use a little more emphasis on the theme 'joined together' but overall pretty cute for a idle/clicker game. Great job
I love how the areas change
fun little clicker game
Cool graphics, generally a chill experience. I would've liked to see some more clear instructions on to how to advance in this game over time. An idle game is pretty ambitious for a game jam game. My only issue is that most idle games have some active component, but this didn't really seem to have one unfortunately.
Nice art and music, but I don't seem to get the game :/. I realize it's an idle game but what's the goal in it?
Always nice to see an idle game in a jam. I like the graphics and relaxing music and I think the concept is a good one. I did feel the game lacked some spice and game feel though. Upgrades felt a little useless after a while, and clicking lacked any real punch. I think this could be fairly easily remidied in the future though with a little bit of polish.
Cool game. Relaxing IDLE game, just as I would imagine. Might add pause option. (pressing "S" changed my system volume up to 80, spooky). I had fun playing it, good job.
Aw man, that is not a good bug to have. I think I know exactly what's causing it. Thanks for pointing it out!
Nice graphics and cute music. Some feedback when fighting will be welcomed. Did not get to a point where my heroes were separated. I think you should show this particularity earlier in the game. Though well done.
This is the first idle game I played in this game jam :D Very interesting concept, I like the music that you made as well. Good work!
Currently idling this game in the background as I write this. Will update with my high score later.
Having played several idle games, the first test I do is "Does an auto clicker break the game"? And the answer is not really. In the beginning, where all the damage is 1, doing 50 DPS is extreme, but around character level 40, the characters out pace it due to scaling off of two stats instead of one, so the effect of auto clicking dies off. Might be more effective when split, but that would level up one character more than the other, and my perfectionism will not allow different character levels.
One recommendation for the future, however, is to include either a mute button or volume slider. The music fits well with the background, but no sane man would listen to the same song for the hours or days it would take to "beat" this game.
Either way, nice to see an idle game in the contest. Nice work!
EDIT:
High Score: Area Level 44, Character Level 216, About 5 Rebirths.
The strategy seems to be to rebirth constantly until health level 60/70?, when you effectively become invincible, and it turns into a normal idle game.
Level 21 and its game over
Thanks for playing! You can click the left arrow in the top right corner to go to a lower monster level and get your fighters more levels.
The game is essentially a standard idle game until you die -- then honestly it's pretty painful. Your ability to survive a floor gets cut in half, then a little bit less than that since your clicking is divided. But the only way to rejoin is to beat the same level that beat you. Which effectively means, grind as two solos until your individual levels are almost doubled. Then you'll be back to where you were before you died. Which, incidentally, is still weak enough to die.
Getting separated is too harsh a punishment. It'd be one thing if there were some advantage to being separated, such that it would be easier to rejoin, or each person got more experience per kill. But as it stands, it is essentially a run killer.
Thanks for playing! You make a lot of great points, thank you! I think I lost sight a bit of the theme and focused more on polish than I should have.
