I really like the inertia the prisoner have, and how the player must use it as a pendulum to pass through obstacle. It's funny to think that the prisoners is actually helping the player to take him to the court ^^ Maybe the jump could have been swifter, but hey, that's fine tuning. My only concern is for the music, which i feel a little too calm. However, great job !
This pretty cool. I like the mechanic overall but the jump is a bit floaty and the ground is rather slippery like he's walking on ice. That messes with gameplay some. Also the intro says "Maximum security prison" but it's so desolate and empty. Maybe an abandoned prison is more apt? Also, I don't think this is an ethical use of your prisoners. This labyrinth was deliberately designed to use people as things to catch buttons. What kind of place are you running here? The level design is great and the game is pretty fun.
Great stuff - an interesting challenge to have the movement of the main character tied down by another, and the regular checkpoints were much appreciated! However, I did find that I couldn't always pull the prisoner towards me when I wanted to - is there some constraint or rule that I'm missing?
Cool idea that fits the theme well. The game was very challenging so it is great that you have included checkpoints.
Nice take on the mechanic, and nice presentation too. Consider making the movement "snappier" some how -- maybe the gravity can be increased progressively when the character is falling. In any case, nice work!
Very impressive, and like a comment below says, very cool that you added checkpoints because I fell off a lot early on haha. Very well made mechanics, I was impressed at how intuitive the gravity / physics of swinging the prisoner was. Good job! :)
10/10 for putting in checkpoints, that's a really great detail, and one lots of people don't get around to during jams. This is a cool entry. I've seen a handful of entries with chains, but this one stood out among those. The presentation was nice, and the atmosphere of this game is really, really good. Great music choice to go with the theme and visuals.
My only critique is I wish the characters were slightly less slidey, especially since the some of the platforming requires a decent amount of precision.
great entry, I enjoyed this one!
LOVED the use of the theme, I was definitely Joined Together. At first, it was very challenging, but I got the hang of it ;)
The game felt fluid and I liked how my character moved, I really liked the use of that poor prisoner pulling on my chain. And how I had to use him to my advantage to move forward. Very well put together!
I would love to see how this plays out in a full game with more puzzles and monsters. Wouldn't it be great if I got to use that epic sword on my back??
The chain mechanics is very good. It's quite challenging and you're right to put in several checkpoints. It saved my gameplay a lot
I really liked the mechanics but the weight seemed slightly too much.
I also really wanted to "swing the prisoner" and try to slingshot/jump with the momentum from the swinging, but it didn't respond like I hoped it would.
Good concept but the physic is little heavy. Anyway well done !
Very fun and unique concept. Physics felt a bit off at times, but using the dead weight as a mechanic was super cool!
The mechanics are painful just enough to be fun.
A cool idea, the mechanics are neat and well done. Nice submission!
Really cool, it took some time to get used to the behavior - I still could not get too far tho :D
It's a fun game and the concept is interesting, I liked the game's aesthetics a lot, good job : D
Hello! Neat game, with some tweaking of the physics you might have something here!
I really love the aesthetics of this game, great job!
Original concept and great mecanics. Very fun!
