Congratulations on what seemed to me to be a bug free and intuitive experience! I enjoyed that it seemed like all of the units were useful, at different points in the game. Nice balancing. :)

It did seem that a similar strategy worked in each level though, and some additional layer of mechanics or upgrades if given more time to develop it would have been nice, like upgrading units, or flying units that don't follow the path, or something.

Nice game

Really nice presentation of art and music. I was very pleasantly surprised when the arrows stuck into my minions (ya know, pleasantly surprised that they stuck, not that I got hit :P ) which was a really fun twist that visually conveyed a lot of information. The gameplay started off fairly slow, I think with more time outside of the jam for more mechanics this could be a really nice game. Possibly going the idle game direction as well if you want.

I had a hard time with this game. When I was brainstorming for this jam, one of my first thoughts was to make a reverse tower defense game like this, but i rejected that idea because I felt like it would be too hard to implement well. The problem is that when the only things the player can control are when and what to spawn, it can really feel like the game is out of your control, which is how I feel with this game. I got hard stuck on the second level because once the reinforcements are built, I just can't get anything through. I want to like this game, but I just can't play past the second level. Also, there seems to be a few technical issues. The buttons for spawning are still clickable, and still trigger the cooldown, even when the player doesn't have enough coins. Disabling the buttons when you can't afford them would be a very helpful UI change. Also, having a quit button in your web game doesn't really work, so you should disable that on web builds.

The music goes hard!

Cool concept and fun gameplay, good job!

I LOVE that you have a lore button in the menu. Nice game, good job on the amount of content. as others have said, it does feel a bit spammy to play.

Pretty cool game! the art is really well done and I enjoy the concept, although I did find the game to be a bit too difficult at parts, but that could just be me.

I like the game, but it would help if all of your units have a bit more individuality and function. The way it is right now my best tactic is spray and pray.

I had a pretty fun time with this one, it looks and sounds good and I like the general premise of the game. However as others have already pointed out it felt like there was not much strategy involved except for sending so many units at once that the defense could not keep up with it. It was also not really apparent to me if there were any differences between the units except for health and speed. Overall I enjoyed it though, well done! :)

That's a really good game, all the mechanics are polished and the game feels good to play, but I couldn't really figure out any strategy that would help me win other than just spamming units until I have the one that costs 100 and then spamming it

Cool idea and nice execution, also I love the art on the crossbow towers!

Presentation is quite nice ! It's a bit hard to figure out a strategy and the particularities of your units though

Thank you! We had a textbox explaining the difference in the unit stats when you hovered over them at one point, but unfortunately it broke late in development :(

Edit: also holy crap your game was amazing

Good game bro

Nice presentation and sound effects. It was hard for me to figure out a strategy so I just kept on click on all units all the time.

The presentation of this reminded me of the old NES fantasy games -- immediately coming to mind is NES D&D, but better. Well done on this game, and all the very best!

Definitely props to the artist for coming up with original sprites on the fly like this! Many thanks for giving it a chance!

Enjoyed the game a lot. Everything in the game seems to progress really quick unlocking new content. Short but fun!

Good job on the presentation! The idea has potential, and one potential improvement could be adding more player control i.e. so the player doesn't have to wait too much for the units to traverse the map.
