How does your game fit the theme?
Usually in dungeon crawling/roguelike games, the player gains items as they play through and get stronger. However, in this game you play the person putting those items back into the dungeon for the next player- the Dungeon Restocker. As you play, you drop off items the previous player took and progressively get weaker. Make sure to do your job so that the next player has a good experience in the dungeon!

This game is very confusing for me to play, although I love and understand the tutorial of placing items back in chest, the buffs and de buffs from items really made it very confusing for me to properly play the game. After reading comments and reading the item description, ok maybe me as a player should be more attentive to the items I carry first before doing anything.
I just have to say this but I really dislike the mechanic for sacrificing life to attack stronger, and healing with another attack, or even the case with the 2nd level I just dont understand through the text, but this is just my personal opinion, as it makes the game less fun and enjoyable for me, as I can potentially die just from attacking. Maybe having some sort of stat indication like +1 life steal, -1 drain HP or something that shows the stats and what each items do right away will be amazing, as there are many players like myself, won't really want to read, just want to know which item do. This will be good for this sort of game that the team is going for. I also feel the music is very chill, maybe it makes me feel like I am dreaming or something, idk if its fitting but I guess so for the colour scheme.
I really like what you guys do for the world/map, it is isometric style instead of just 2D, which makes the game very interesting. I personally feel the characters and world doesn't really match together, as if there are 2 different styles of art merge together. Maybe that's just me and my personal preference again. I definitely find the main characters and the enemies very cute and something that really amazed me was even before clicking start, I can already see the main character running and animating at where it supposed to be a black box. I am very curious how the team did it as I find it very cute!
Overall I find the game to be quite pleasing, very chill, love the cute art style for main characters and enemies and the isometric world, but my only main thing are the item stats and the lack of indication of it that really affects the gameplay a lot.
Thank you for your comment! Sadly time was tight and we didn't get to make the item system as clear as we wanted, but I am glad you enjoyed the game! We will try our best to make the gameplay more transparent moving forward with updates.
sorry got a typo from me, meant to say top down/platformer and not 2D hehe
I was a little confused on how the game played at first, but after trying it again I started to get it. I wish there was some more feedback when attacking enemies, or when getting hit. Maybe try adding some red flash or screen shake when getting hit, and lower the cameras FOV briefly when landing a hit? Anyways, great work you guys! :)
aww the idea was so clever!! I really loved the item where you get your health back from hitting enemies with melee and health taken away with ranged attacks. If you had some time I think adding some more sprites for the main character moving in different directions would make it so much more immersive
I'm glad you figured out the item effects! the main character's sprite faces the mouse so that attacks would look more natural, but we could definitely make it more immersive
Beautiful artwork and really clever theme interpretation. The music was very nice also. Interesting core mechanic too :)
Fantastic idea :) really enjoyed the concept of losing abilities along each level in order to beat it.
Also, beautiful art and presentation! how did you manage to add that small animation before pressing the "Run game" button? Really nice touch! tell me your secrets <3
Congrats to your team, nice job!!
Thank you so much!!! I'm glad you enjoyed our game.
The wonderful Jiuya Lin created the gif and used the embed BG option for the page theme.
I seem to have gotten stuck on the second level, there was an annoying sound in the 1st level that persisted and made it pretty displeasing to keep playing.
The idea here seems really cool.
Unfortunately I was unable to get passed the second level since the floor fell out from under me.
Could you give me feedback on my game?
I love the art-style of this game, the character and monster art is really well made! The music is so zen and fits the game really well!
Noise bug has already been mentioned but it was a little jarring to have at the start especially when the music is otherwise so relaxing!
I love the concept of playing as a character who is restocking dungeons and how that plays into sacrificing abilities, a fun concept to play with :]
As others have said, I love the art and the idea! I had a really weird sound bug where some noise kept repeating over and over, but other than that it was awesome. Great work!
Fun! I got stuck at the endges sometimes but it's not too much of a trouble. Really cute art as well!
Really cool idea and I dig the art style. It could use some polish though and I did get stuck when the world was coming up and I went too early and tiles disappeared around me and left me stranded.
Awesome concept of a reverse puzzle where you have to be careful what you put away so that you don't lose buffs that are part of your build as you unlock the level and solve it.
I love how the items you restock have effects on the player! also beautiful spritework!
