I love this game! The music fits the mood so well, and I love the tonal shift from when you have zoomies vs. when you're just walking. I also really love that the interactions with the cats is positive as opposed to chasing them. I would love it if there was some kind of on screen indicator [like a sniff-dar or something] of which direction missing bones would be in, because once I got to the last eight I started struggling a little bit, haha. Also would be really nice if some of the wandering sprites had a little variation in shirt colour/hair/skin/etc; ditto with the cats. Incredible work for 48 hours, well done!!

I saw you also participated in this jam - hello :D I think you can't make anything wrong with games about dogs or cats. It simple has this "omg so cute" bonus which everyone can relate to. For this jam I also think, it's a very great and unique adaption of the theme.

I loved how the music opened up during zoomie time and how my master was animated when I took the lead.

At the end it took a bit for me to find the remaining bones and I was a bit lost when finally achieving freedom. These are just little things though.

And also one question: Where does my master try to walk towards? Does he have some path to follow? Or just random directions?

Hey! Great to see you! Sorry, I have not really been around recently :( Hope you are doing great!

Thanks for your feedback! You are right, the owner follows a pre-determined path. It's basically a linked list of coordinates that they will directly move towards. Once arrived, the next waypoint is selected. After the player goes into zoomie mode, the closest current waypoint is chosen. When arrived at the last waypoint, the first one is targeted again, making a loop. Leave the game open for a while and you'll see the route is always the same. :)

The NPC walks with a constant forward motion. No time for pathfining. This is why, they have no collision, only the player ;)

Wowowow, great idea, great execution, brilliant vibes!! I got all 50 bones and even found the little congregation of cats in the bottom left :) Really nice job, this game deserves way more ratings! :D

So much fun! The simple charm and using the universal truth that anyone will stop to pet a dog was great. Brilliant job!

This game was a lot of fun to play. I love the animation of the owner tumbling behind you as you rush around. The music was perfect fit as well. Really well done!

Excellent gameplay, art, and music! The core loop is really well executed, and the leash pulling is challenging without being frustrating. I really like having more interesting objects (like the cats) adding more boost to your zoomies meter. The ending was perfect, too. Very fun all around - you should be proud of this one!

This is what I'd imagine being a dog owner feels like.

This game really makes you feel like a dog.

Joke's aside, the payoff of being free at the end is the cherry on top for a really well made game.
