Good start to an idea here. I agree with the other comments that the background takes over the focus a bit too much. With some further refinement and balancing it could be a great game.
Love the game reverse tower defence with chess pieces ... wow.
like the idea
i feel like you could relate the mechanics to chess instead of just slapping chess graphics onto a reversed tower defender.
but well done for 48 hours
Damn, it's kinda hard. Well executed
Though go a bit easier on the colors, i feel like the background is too vibrant
Really cool concept! A bit more of a tutorial may have been helpful but overall a good job!
It's a cool idea, but the winning strategy seems to be just getting a bunch of eco until you can send in an unbeatable queen + king combo. And there's just the one level; good execution though for what you guys have got so far!
haha this was awesome!!
The idea of reversing the roles of a tower defence actually works out rather well. Funnily enough it plays a bit like a clicker. I think it still needs a bit of balancing, and maybe a way of getting rid of towers.
Fun idea! I can see this being greatly expanded.
I enjoy the varied pieces and their effect. Very fun, great work!
This is really fun! Sort of a combination of a tower defense game and a clicker game. It took me 6 minutes and 56 seconds to complete, though a lot of that was either waiting around or spamming units to gain Eco. Nice work on this.
Much appreciated 👍
The endgame where you have access to all pieces is quite fun but the early game feels a bit off.
It would be nice to get a little notification when you unlock a new piece and an explanation.
The textbox explanation was i bit too big and covered the bottom of the playing field which made it hard to tell where your pieces are.
Cool idea, seems like cookie clicker where waiting for a bit in the beginning gives benefit in the long run
Bloons TD Battles players will recognize this system and I thought it worked quite well here! I got a real kick out of the incremental progress and I enjoyed thinking up strategies with the greatly varied available pieces.
Yep! This was really influenced by Bloons TD Battles, the Eco system is a notable part of that inspiration.
A bit hard to understand initially, but fun once you get going - took me 12 mins to win :)
I felt like there was a lot of waiting to setup combos, but maybe I still don't fully understand the resources system..
Nice work!
Thanks! Not a bad time, to be honest.
Really creative! Great idea
holy hell
it feels like a mix of an incremental game like cookie clicker and an rts game or something, interesting combination!! i never made a lot of progress, but it was fun to see my army get bigger despite not really achieving anything. this feels like the kind of game that requires intricate balancing, but its fun nonetheless!
Yeah, this game is quite a mix of genres, I thought it was enjoyable. Balancing is always quite tricky!
The game is really hard at the end game and feels overall slow.
Very creative concept and pretty fun to play
It just feels impossible and it took me a bit to figure out how the money works
Sorry about that. The way you're supposed to beat it is to strategize and really use your enemies to their fullest potential (enemies like the inquisitor and king are pretty good for this).
