Pretty sure I'm the Top G of all fish.
Nice atmosphere :) Felt impossible though with the lack of bubbles - like I got them all and still died. But def liked it. Good job, Bonsai
Love the idea of covering up your own embarrassing death! Even moreso having the investigators on my tail the whole time just created a more intense and fun environment. I ended up just luring them around the whole time and my death went unsolved 😮💨. I loved the art and point-and-click style game. The music was fun and spot on as well! Definitely one of my favorite games I've played thus far! Great job :)
Hitting a grandma with a car has never been so satisfying.
I love WarioWare so I definitely loved this reversed roles! I'm amazed at your AI that you were able to accomplish the jam period! You did a super good job at creating a fast paced and anxiety inducing environment and staying true WarioWare :) Only suggestion would be to maybe include some code to not allow the player to do the same two games for the first four levels. For a second there I thought there maybe was only two minigames 😅, but then I got the rest! Also! Some music for the main menu would assist in giving a better first impression upon opening!
Overall though, you did an excellent job at reversing the roles for this game! Really enjoyed it. :)
Wowwww! I really liked this game!! Tbh out of the 30ish games I've rated so far, likely in my top three! It was simple yet a fun and challenging puzzle! That loss jingle will forever be in my head from now on 😭 But beating every level was very satisfying and didn't just feel like I was guessing. You did really well in making this! Great game :)
Whaaaaaa, you reversed the roles on The Stanley Parable?? Amazing take on the theme! Your narration was well done and you really captured what I'm sure it felt like to be the narrator on the OG game. The assembling rooms bit was new, but it aided in creating a more engaging experience, as just putting what was opposite would get old pretty quick, so well done there! Overall, you created a really great role-reversal game! Great job :)
My goodness you had my heart beating 😭 Literally they were busting down the walls of the nest as my last egg hatched. I really enjoyed the concept of being the bloody horrible worms like those ones in Terraria! The gameplay was intense and hard. And I loved the variation in the enemies, I actually started to have to choose which ones to go after based on what I knew they would be doing to attack! Only suggestion would be to add some sfx to the bots and explosions to make everything feel a bit more hectic. It felt a bit flat at times because there was no audio response to my actions. But overall, this is a really well made game and I 100% enjoyed it and am still feeling anxious about all my lil worm babies :)
Wow, this is a super complete experience! The music, art, and movement of the pieces all create a really polished game! I loved how the game got continually more complex as well. Everything even down to the color choices were solid! My only suggestion (which if you did implement, I may have missed) would be to make a setting to turn off the moving background. I actually ended up getting really dizzy from it for some reason 😭. But overall, this was one of the coolest games i've seen yet! Great job :)
Made me laugh multiple times in just the intro - idk why the name Brian is so funny lol. Loved the simple gameplay, and it got 100% cooler once it went into the second phase of the boss's health. Definitely one of my favorite games of the jam so far. Great job on the Ai for the enemies as well! Overall, really well made game :)
Very clean style with the art and music! Even your sound effects were very complimentary to the overall vibe of the game. The concept of being the one to build the roads was unexpected! You would have thought a game like this would have been focused on choosing the troops to send (something like Age of War), but the roads was very unique! I would have loved to see more variation or disrupting factors to make me think more, but I understand the jam's time limit can be constraining. I did like how the maps changed after each level! Overall, great job! :)
Haha, I loved the WarioWare vibe of the game! The hectic and quick minigames kept my attention! Of course I would have loved more minigames, but I understand the short time limit for the jam likely restrained that! I also loved the music and sound effects! It all created a fun and humorous game! Great job :)
I almost bailed after the first time dying to the hounds (at the random wall that said look up I turned around and started climbing the tree to heaven 🙏 only to find hounds 😔 ) But! I went and rebuilt that beavers house and carried on! And I'm glad I did! The ending was funny and well worth it! I dunno if that's your voice, but boy o boy, it is off-putting and perfectly creepy. Well done! Good game :)
I actually loved reading through your instructions below the game! I felt like I was playing some new exciting board game. You did really well to force the player to actually think through their moves and not just always have one obvious best thing to do. I think it would have maybe been nice to see the stats of each climber so that I might be able to make more informed decisions (I felt like I was just guessing many times). But, overall this was a great game and I think it could do even better in a physical board game format! :)
Great job making a fun and creative puzzle platformer. I really enjoyed how you incorporated the theme into your game and still made a playable and complete experience. The puzzles were difficult too! So good job on keeping the challenge there! Also!! I loved the music! Kudos to your music guy!! Overall, great game!
Your game looked superb! Loved the animated backgrounds and fluid movements of the tiles. Also, the game itself seems like a pretty cool board game that would be fun to play in real life! Only downside was mostly the Ai being a bit tooooo easy to beat at times. BUT I understand that in a two day game, creating a smart Ai can be a HUGE challenge. So for what your game is, it's definitely well done! Overall, great job :)
First perfect score I've given. You did a really good job at capturing Cookie Clicker and reversing the roles!
- The progression was nearly perfect to really encourage me to keep playing.
- The combo bar made my actual involvement feel meaningful.
- The music (and progressing music with combos) was just the cherry on top for the whole experience.
Great job! (I made it to x22 before I felt like I had reached the peak) :)
Fun concept, I love card based combat! I had a bit of trouble understanding everything going on at first and learned mostly by trial by error it felt, but once I got the hang of it, it was pretty cool! I liked being able to use souls to help me battle! I'd suggest giving the opening of the game a bit more of a bang though, felt veryyyy slow at first. Overall though, great job! :)
Excellent presentation on this game! From the music to the menus, you did a really great job creating a good atmosphere and fun experience. I love sneaking around and avoiding cameras, so this was fun for me :) Although, maybe the cameras and guards were a bit TOO forgiving at times. Overall, great concept and great game :)
Some issues with the port size and things being cut off, and unfortunately I also had the same issue as it_rooster below with the first upgrade screen not working. However, I love the concept and the photos you've features really looks like an interesting game!! I'd love to try it once the jam is over and you're able to fix the break! :)
Fantastic game! Loved the whole mafia vibe and music. It all being black in white was a great production but also visual choice as well! I love poker, so this was really satisfying just to rig the whole thing! Great job embracing the role-reversal theme as well. Overall, you did a really good job :)
WOW, Loved the idea!!! What a perfect role reversal. I loved the humor you used, as well as the sound effects of it. I was a bit confused of what exactly the symbols on the bottom signified or if there was an end goal, but I played it for a good little bit just enjoying the simple yet interesting concept! Great job! :)
Hey! I loved the concept and art for your game! You did really well to create an idea that draws in the player! I would have loved to have some music and sound in the game (you can get some free assets on Pixabay!), I think it really adds to the overall atmosphere super well! But the gameplay was fun and I loved the smoking animation! Great job :)
Ahh! Reminds me of Age of War!! Definitely the highlight of this game is how it looks! The sound and music were solid as well. Gameplay was fun, but I didn't understand how to win.. I had multiple troops reach the enemy's side, but I didn't see any change occur to the health bar of the base. For real super solid game though, great job!
Really enjoyed this idea actually! And the space worm was pretty creepy with its tentacles! Movement was a bit strange and I never was able to get used to it. However, when I was so determined to beat it, the worm glided right through the sun and left me just sitting there with the timer at zero, no enemies in sight... was this victory? Was this emptiness the conclusion we so sought for?? Years of waging war on that blasted space worm! Countless systems destroyed at the end of it's beastly tentacle mouth! All for what?? Him just to pass by one day! This emptiness.. this pain.. someone must fulfill the duty of the worm.. if not he..... then I.
Thank you for the spoiler to go north haha, I felt so lost at one point. Cool game though. I wasn't sure I understood the sleeping mechanic, but i mostly just ate the green things and then dove underground when the fast lil dudes rushed me! But dying and having to go all the way back to the beginning grew too burdensome once I started getting fairly far ahead. Anyway, great game!
