Solid effort for a first jam.

Aside from blinking lights and sounds, which i know you're aware are missing, the other thing that is great about pinball is the fluidity and speed of the ball.

If you keep working on this I would recommend two things.

1: Faster

2: Smooth curves

Great Idea. I hope you keep working on it

Thanks for playing and giving feedback!

For once I can easily avoid draining the ball to the sides as I AM THE BALL! Great idea!

Thanks!!

Great game! The concept of this game is very interesting. With some sound effects and some balancing, this could become a really fun game. Very good game for your first jam.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the compliments!

I'm not sure if there was a time limit or anything, but regardless I had fun playing and seeing how many I could collect! I got around 1200 before I started to slow down. Love how you incorporated the theme. Only thing would be to zoom out the camera, so I could see what's going on around me since I found that I basically spent the entire time looking at the top camera. Other than that, great job!

Developer(+1)

Hi, thanks for playing. There was no time limit it end when you collect everything or die. Thanks again for the compliments and suggestions.

The handling of the ball felt really nice and I really liked the map in the top right corner. The only thing I would improve upon is the camera -- it was a little too zoomed in. If you zoomed it out a little more I think it would make the game a little easier to play.

Considering this is your first game, this is phenomenal work! Great job!

Developer

Thanks, for playing and for the compliments! I had problems with camera clipping in the scenario if I zoomed it out, I'll definitely work on it and I feel like I still have a lot to learn to be able to improve it further. Thanks again!

Definitely created some nostalgia for the Windows Pinball game!
Congrats on your first game. If you are open to some feedback, I think it would improve by having the camera zoom out a little and also by having less control over the ball... pinballs are meant to be chaos, so once you go over a bumper the ball should go flying into other elements and make you lose control for a few seconds.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I played so much of the old windows Pinball definitely nostalgic!

I got a lot of criticism about the camera, and I get what you say about increasing the chaos as well. I just didn't want to overdo the collisions because since the camera is currently so close I was worried it could make people have motion sickness. I'll try to fine-tune these aspects of the game after the jam has ended. Thanks again!

I really like this take on the theme. It was a bit hard to distinguish some of the bumpers, and showing the total in the score would have been nice. But it was an enjoyable game and the overall view of the board was very helpful.

Developer

Yeah, I see now how not knowing how many bumpers the game had could be a problem. I place them in the same positions of the game I use as inspiration, but decided to add one more to make it more interesting (and to have an even number of bumper 😅). I think I'll implement your idea of showing the total on the main screen. Thank you for playing and I'm glad you like the overall board too!

Congrats on the first game. Cool concept. Maybe something to struggle against would have been nice like gravity. Still really nice!

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Congrats on your first game! This was an amazing entry! solid gameplay and good take on the theme. I hope to play more of your games in future jams :)

Developer

Thank you so much! I hope that too : )

Your game looks so much better than mine! It would be really cool if you could see the ball when it's under or behind stuff. Maybe put a trigger under raised platforms so it senses when the ball is there and turns transparent? Great job!

Developer

Hey, thanks for the compliments and the tips, the trigger idea is so good, I'll for sure try it.

The Graphics in this game are spectacular and it's almost unbelievable that this is your first ever video game in Unity that being said there are a few things in the Game that can be improved besides the sound, What stuck out to me the most was that you had a map that is 3d and usually games have 3d maps so you can rotate and interact with the map and fit it to your exact need, in your game the map doesn't seem to move and I can't interact with it, this makes having a 3d map sort of pointless but besides that, it's a pretty Good Game

Developer

Yes, I think the part I need to study more about Unity is the movement and camera. I wanted to make the camera stay near the player to kind of like get a view close to 1st person like you were the ball, to better fill the theme, but I had a hard time with the camera clipping to the environmentment.  Something I think could improve the game is to use AWSD to move the player and the arrows to rotate the camera around the player, kinda like the analog sticks on the controller do in a lot of games, but I'll need to learn more to make this possible. Anyway, thanks for playing and for the good feedback!

Can you beat my dev time of 7:10?? Probably yes, I spent almost two minutes hunting for the last collectible I was missing😅

I'll love to see screenshots or videos of you playing!!

The game is actually a really good idea which could be improved later. I would like the camera to be much more zoomed out, also as you know sounds.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Yeah unfortunately I didn't have time for sounds, such a bummer. About the camera, I had some problems with it clipping with the environment so I just zoom in hahaha. I'll work on these points after the vote ends! 😊

Nice game but I do not have any sounds like sound effect or music

Developer

Yeah, I didn't have time for sounds lol, but as it was my first game jam and I was a solo dev I think I did well enough, got to add most of what I wanted. Thanks for playing anyway! 😊
