great game. I don't have much else to say, just a great game. Great visuals, great concept, great idea, cool stuff.

Fun and simple gameplay with the organising items mechanic. Its fun trying to min max and fix in as much loot as possible.

I love the concept, and the game had a chill vibe I really liked. I wish I could see what different items did to add some more strategy. I also felt there was no time to read the interesting narration at the bottom because I had to focus on catching items. I feel like a cool larger release could be made from this, nice work!

Interesting. Wish it told you what items did :( anyways good game

Spent a bit to much time playing this one, Solid game! It would be a blast to see if some items gave bonuses to things other than just stats, like maybe a potion that can save you from death once kind of like a fairy in a bottle

Seen quite a few suggestions for item effects, sounds like a pretty dope idea for a potential post-jam version. Thanks a ton for playing!

I like the concept and the artwork is phenomenal! It would be cool if the items did more than just giving plain stats, but for the time we had is very cool!

Very neat idea. I see I'm not the first one to which this reminded them of the Resident Evil inventory system and implementing it in a turned based battle was very interesting. I wish the game took the time to explain which item does what rather than having to discover everything in the middle of the action, it made it quite stressful and difficult. But in the limited time we had to make a game this is totally understandable. The presentation is really pleasing and perfectly functional, amazing work!

Finally a game where I can play as a backpack, cool concept and nice idea.

That was great, very interesting concept and you pulled it off well.

very nice concept indeed! I was reminded of RE2 inventory management, the game was quite fun honestly, the visuals are nice, the sound department was good too, overall this was a very enjoyable experience and I would totally play something of this nature but in a more expanded setting, so other than the gameplay loop being a little stale after a while, this was a fantastic entry and especially for the time constraints, great work!

Great idea and excellent execution!

Really nice game, the graphics were fantastic. It would be awesome if you expanded upon the game and added a shop to spend the coins in.

Fun game! It let me wanting more! Good job

I really like the text on the bottom. Just a little nice addition.

I wish you could drag the weapons into the boss to be the one to attack with it, but I guess that would make the game lean away from the theme.

After playing it a few times, I still don't really get the point of gold, though.

Overall a great idea with great execution. Love the chaotic aspect.

Thanks for playing! Gold can be used to boost your score, but leaves you with less room for weapons and the like. Not important if you're just trying to beat the game, but it adds replayability for people looking to beat their highscore.

If you are expanding upon this game, you could add shops between each round for buying more spaces/powerups. It would give some risk/reward.

Developer

Great idea! Might make a post-jam version if this one gets popular enough, being able to buy stuff for your adventurer sounds like a perfect addition for that.

I've played about 20 of these so far and this is my favorite! The art and music are great. It's like Tetris and A Little to the Left had an rpg baby!

My only critique is I wish the enemies came in less of a random order and were difficulty-based. I'd play a full version of this for sure. I'd be surprised if this doesn't end up in Mark's video!!

Yay! Another backpack based idea!

Great execution! Your sprite art is awesome!

Nice game, I liked how the falling items make you choose fast. Only gripe is that the boss monster appeared as I was grabbing a sword, but that was mostly my fault lol

Nice take on the concept and well put together. I struggled a bit to see which parts of my inventory were free for some reason (that's probably on me)

I adore the art style it's so pretty
