Fun cutscene at the beginning. The different environments are neat, too.

Intro was really nice. Liked all the character designs you have done here. Also the platform placement and level design is fun to play. Felt the platform assets could have some detail and not solid color. Controls could have some more gravity and less floaty. A medieval music would be nice with the character designs. Good Job!

Feel free to hop into my game as well and share your thoughts and ratings if you have the time!

Cute game! All doors are at dottom right which is easy to find, that's a good thing.

Nice game, good pixel art style (with some minor bugs like the goblins walking backwards). The game as such is bit too slow paced and a bit too easy especially with those lots of hearts around. But it was fun to unlock the hero at the end.

Enjoyed playing the game, jumping on enemies could be a bit more juicy

-Enjoyment: The opening was fun and the controls are pretty smooth.  Awesome job for a first game!

-Creativity: Fun idea for sure!

-Presentation: You put the sprites together well, and the opening is really great! Keep improving!

-Neat game indeed, I hope you learned a lot!! Please check out my non-creative entry when you can :D

great job for your first game. And a unique take on the theme, too, from what I've seen so far. :D The level design could use some work in the second level, as I often wasn't sure where to go to be able to get all 3 keys, but other than that it was a fun experience. Loved that you used differently sized fires to make for different kinds of obstacles! Keep at it!

Love the moonwalking spikey enemy :D

Congrats on finishing your first game jam and first game! Amazing that you got so much done in so little time! I love that you gave variety to the stages and enemies! I also love the story-telling with the princess and the hero! Great job!

Intereting game, the cutscene is very nice, I really enjoy it.

Nice game! that intro cutscene was fun to watch lol, and I particularly enjoyed the level 1 music. It got harder though, having to go in all directions to find the keys, could easily get lost. But overall, quite enjoyable; I didn't manage to rescue the good man though, will have to get back to it sometime.

This was very similar to my first idea, I would also kill enemies by jumping but I decided that I wanted a top down this time. It was cool to see someone doing it this way!

the cutscene is really cute haha

Congratulations on submitting for the jam!  Really enjoyed the cutscene at the beginning, and the jump movement actually felt really solid.

For this being your first game ever and your first game jam this is super impressive! My first game using Gdevelop was for a game jam too and I didn't even finish it despite having more time than you. I couldn't even imagine adding cutscenes at the time but you pulled it off somehow. Good job!

I see that a few people already brought up my critiques, i.e. lacking a little game feel, inconsistent art between each sprite, and a floaty jump. I know that a game made in 48 hours isn't going to be perfect but I wanted to reiterate those points because I'd love to see you grow

Solid entry, especially for your first game jam! Also you're right we did kinda do a similar idea.

Congratulations on your first game! I liked the cutscene and it's very impressive what you managed to do in the time limit.

if you return to work on the game in the future, I would recommend giving responsiveness to the enemies when you jump on them (By playing sound and physics effect like jump) and perhaps mark in a certain way where the keys are in the stage.
keep creating, well done. :)
