Well, that was fun! Every spin on the theme of you not being the hero in a dungeon I have seen so far didn't involve collaborating with the hero, so this is a surprise!
The low fps are kinda annoying. If I had to guess I would say it's probably due to the hero's raycasting. Could probably be optimized.
But it was enjoyable. Thanks for sharing!
i grew fond to the kindhearted goblin dude. I also liked the luring mechanic too! The game quality looked very polished as if it is already uploaded on some kind of flash game site. Great work.
As a puzzle game it's a lot of fun :). It works pretty cool, and it's the typical game with a simple premise but you can build new mechanics on it later. I have a doubt, does the goblin help the knight to leave his dungeon as soon as possible or does he genuinely have a good heart?
Thanks!! We debated on why the goblin was trying to help the hero. I think that he's trying to get him to the end so that he can defeat the evil king goblin or something, but Clay thinks that he's just a nice goblin who doesn't want to see any more adventurers fall in pits.
And yes, we had more mechanics planned. Even got pushing of barrels and boxes implemented, but didn't have time to create a level for that concept. You'd have to push them to block line of sight to the next torches.
I really like the idea of being a barrel laying coins. But the mechanic that you are frozen in the range of the player is a bit annoying.
Unfortunate that the frame rate can dip sometimes, but the idea is really cool! Only thing is if the goblin is spotted, maybe if there was a sound effect or something it would definitely help on game to player feedback. Good job!!
Can get frustrating at times (with performance and hitboxes), but a creative and fun concept.
What a funky goblin, I feel their frustration and determination towards leading the adventurer along a safe route. Nice pick of art and music.
