Nice setup. Not sure if it was the inspiration, but there is a movie with exactly that premise. Unfortunately I do not remember the name.

I was a bit puzzled that the "good" sheep also had red eyes, so they felt also kind of evil. :D And the hit feedback felt a bit dull, but other than that cool art and good controls.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! :D

I actually don't know many movies so I don't think it was inspired by it, but interesting that something like this exists haha!

The eyes of the other sheep are actually orange or light brown but I guess they can look very devilish, especially on this scale ^^'

Will work on it post jam ! :D

Very beautiful art ! The story was also funny! I enjoyed the gameplay, but I think it was way too easy, may be adding some sort of difficulties would be nice. Overall, I think it's a great game.

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! :D

I love the concept art of the game, especially the thumbnail and the backstory of the sheep main character. I did the artist did a fantastic job on it.

I think the game can be made differently as I feel the game is too easy and too long. The first thought that came into my mind was a way to improve the gameplay was,  Day 1 kill 15 sheep in 60 seconds, and then it scales accordingly. I think this would make the game much more fun in a way for me personally. I think the Ram is good, but they are easily defeated so it doesn't really feel like a challenge, more sort of a nuisance that is in my way. I think the game definitely will be way better with some sort of animation, will do the game wonders, like just a few frames of walking and attacking animation will be amazing. I think the SFX was too loud and really affected my gameplay a lot as I had to lower my volume, having a setting to adjust the volume will be good or just tone down the volume. I also find the SFX to be quite frequent, and maybe its just me personally but I find it hurting my ears, more so enjoying the SLAUGHTER of young innocent sheep. Having some sort of challenge will be good for the game as well.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I am glad you liked my art haha :D

We will work on this game post jam and your feedback sounds like a great starting point, thank you! ^^

ohohoh the art is absolutely fantastic and it's so fun to play! I felt so bad killing the poor little sheeps :( but the sound effects really set the tone of the game well, all those demonic baaahs >:)

Developer

Haha thank you so much for playing!

I am really glad that you liked my art (especially because your game is SO BEAUTIFUL) :D

I got 35 total! The kind of demonic baaaaaaaaa-ing as music added to the unsettling vibe of the game. The art was great, with those goats(?) and the sheep and the sheep-wolf having consistent styles. It was fun, but  would say the time limit is a little too long, maybe having levels where the goats come more or the minimum gets higher to increase the challenge over time? The intro cinematic was really well done, and I loved the aesthetic, good job!

Developer

Hey Kelsala! :D

Thanks for the feedback! We had some trouble balancing the games difficulty but will fix this in a post jam update haha!

I am glad that you liked my art! They are actually Ram's and not goats but I see why you would think that haha ^^

damn, the most badass sheep I've ever seen!
and the concept of wolves-raised-sheep is very creative
very interesting entry! great job :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback we hope you enjoyed the sheep murdering simulator theme

Cool game!

The concept of a sheep raised by wolves is really interesting!

I liked the 2D sprites in 3D enviroment, also cool sprites :)

Developer(+1)

Hey Nigro! Thanks for your feedback :D

Yeah we were inspired by some games haha

Submitted(+1)

Loved the art and the little story!

I did notice that you move fasting going diagonal, this is due to the velocity not being normalized. I suggest looking up how to normalize movement in your game engine.

Fun little game overall, Good Job!

Developer

Thank you so much for the tip and compliments! :D

nice game! would add a little more feature like having things that could damage the player! great job overall!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The Ram was supposed to chase the player down but most players can dodge him easily haha

Submitted(+1)

Omg this put me in a zone. Just imagine it, being a sheep raised by wolves. I suppose it's easy to imagine sometimes but it would be pretty baaaaaaaaahhhhdddd if you were seperated from your flock. Loved the art style, loved the back story, looking forward to seeing this developed further if you continue with this :D

Developer

Haha nice play with words! :D

Yeah I also hope to have a post jam release. Glad you liked it! ^^

Submitted(+1)

The visuals are great and the controls are really smooth! I do wish there was more feedback on killing the sheep other than the baaing sound and maybe a bit more detail and obstacles to the environment. Overall though I had a blast! I love the idea of a killer sheep; hopefully, the farmers are next to the chopping block. Hahaha! Great work!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you liked my art hehe!

We will work on this post jam when all the feedback has been collected so thanks for helping! :D

the game was graphicallys sensational, unfortunately technically still kept very simple, the gameloop is you succeeded well, I have a question, there is also a Pacifist ending? I had a issue during the game, but that was probably the map end down left, but there were still enemies, otherwise super good, keep it up. your next will be even better! )=D

Developer

Thank you so much for reviewing and liking my art hehe ^^

It would be a great idea to add a pacifist ending! We will definitely discuss this after all he feedback has come in and we start working on the post jam game! :D

I had so much fun doing this jam hehe see you next year then!

Thank you so much!

A cute and simple game! I absolutely loved it.

You can accidentally exit full screen by clicking too fast when playing it on the browser in full screen. So I recommend downloading it to play it.

And not sure if it's just me or not, but I feel like sometimes my sheep seem to boost in speed without any reason.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! Didn't hear about those problems accuring before!

Will definitely check on them when continuing working on this game! :D

AWESOME Cover art! Nice presentation and great concept! I hope that you will continue developing the gameplay more, because it would be great!

Developer(+1)

We will probably make a post jam update with all the feedback taken into consideration ! :D

And if that doesn't happen I will make another game with the assets haha ^^

I am very happy that you like my art!

Oooh, I love the artwork! Also always a big fan of paper-mario-esque 2d sprites in a 3d scene. Some animation would have been the cherry on top of the cake, but I guess that’s a bit much to ask for for a 48 h jam.

Gameplay-wise, pretty basic, but also pretty fun. Who doesn’t love slaughtering a few innocent sheep? The rambocks were a nice addition (though none of them ever actually managed to hurt me, so not sure how much damage they even deal). I guess for a full role reversal, the sheep could start slaughtering their fellow pack mates until they are the alpha wolf or something like that (though I heard that’s just a myth, but eh)?

Ran into a weird problem where after running into some trees, I wasn’t able to land any attacks anymore at one point. Luckily by then, I had already hunted enough prey.

Developer

Thanks for reviewing our game! The problem with the trees and rocks are very much known by now haha!

The player gets elevated by rocks/trees but has no gravity to go back down and because of this you can't hurt sheep anymore, sorry ^^

Thank you for liking my art! We had the animation sprites ready but sadly had some programming problems that made them not work in the game.

We will definitely take your feedback into consideration when preparing a post game jam update! :D

Very fun controls, it's a pity that almost no challenge)

Developer(+1)

Haha no worries it will become a challenge post jam!

We received so much great feedback I think it will become awesome! :D

The art is so good and really fits the macabre theme, gives me Don't Starve vibes! The gameplay leaves a lot to be desired though. You can very easily go past the required 15 kills because at most you'll need to deal 2 swings of damage before getting a kill, and there's no real danger since you get a generous amount of HP and you have to go out of your way to die to the rams. I feel like this game could work great as a high-score beat 'em up where you can pull off cool kill moves and fend off against threatening enemies like farmers or animal control members. I love the twist on the theme, and hope to see more in the future from you two!

Developer

Thank you so much for reviewing our game and giving feedback! I am glad you liked my art!

We will definitely publish a post-jam update to this and will take your feedback into planning!

Thanks again! :D

I like this idea, the concept is funny and the gameplay was pretty fun. I did run into a problem where I was able to get stuck in the air by pushing against a rock, and then I was not only able to get on top of the trees but also couldn't kill anything. This could be fixed by either adding gravity or just locking the player to the ground. A minor suggestion I think could be neat is adding farmers which kill you if they see you eat another sheep. Good job overall!

Developer

Thank you so much for reviewing our game and giving feedback!

Your idea sounds like a great addition and thanks for the tips!
