This is a really fun game that was very creative.
If you can, can you please rate my game.
I loved the puzzles, I had a lot of fun, they were very good and well thought out, however I can't help but think that it really doesn't quite fit the theme of the Jam :(
Hi Welvex!!! First of all thank you so much for playing our game and your comment!! We are really glad that you love the puzzle and enjoyed the process - and yes, we agree that this game seems to focus on the keyword reversed instead of the entire roles reversed. At the early stage of development we thought about making this game a card building game, and in that way the options you have made made more sense - they are just the discarded deck. We were thinking about reversing the role of discarded deck and available card deck; however during development we found that card building is totally unnecessary for players because four directions already give the game so much freedom, and then it ends up being just using 4 arrows keys to operate, and the decks are no more decks, they look more like a stack. We want to argue that we are still reversing roles: they are you and you in the past form. I hope this makes more sense to you!
Really cool game with nice puzzle design, great job!
Thant's a nice idea for a puzzle game, forcing you to think your moves both frontwards AND backwards!
The last few were really challenging.
Visually, it's pretty calm, all rounded corners and relaxing colors, which is the right move for a puzzle game.
The main... character? Cube? Thingy also has an adorable face ●‿●
Really good job to the team! =)
Great jam! soothing, enjoyable, and great mechanics. really solid!
Something I wish we had done with our game that I loved about yours, being able to see how many levels you have left. You went the extra mile and showed a preview of each level, I loved that. The game looks incredibly well polished. The reversal mechanic is just tricky enough to be satisfying when you get it! Although, I definitely made random movements when I got stuck in the hopes that I'd end up with the right answer! Great game!
Hi!! Thank you so much for playing our game and your comment! Yes, we did argue about whether to show the preview to the players during our development, and we're glad that our final decision works for you!! And yes we realized that some levels can be solved without using our proposed strategies, but overall we are really glad that you enjoyed this process! Thank you again.
Cool puzzle game, great idea!
Cool puzzle game, all 10 lvl are fun. Chill ambiance. Will recommand :)
I really like this game! The art is great and it's the concept is creative
I managed to solve the last level without using the reversing thing
Hi Flafy!!! Thank you so much for playing our game and your comment! Yes we did realize that the final level could be solved without our reversing item (even hours before we submitted our game) and we argued for if we allow the player to do so. Well consequently we reached the conclusion that we don't want to teach the player how to solve each level and we don't want to limit the solution to only one, so we left it as it is. Congratulations on finishing the game without being constrained by our guidance, you should feel really proud haha!!
Unique concept, beautiful minimalistic art, well-designed puzzles, and nice music. An amazing game overall! Liked it a lot!
This is really well designed. The difficulty progression throughout the levels is great, and the mechanic is really clever. I'd definitely be interested in a full version of this; it has a lot of potential. I do wish there was some sort of ending, though, since nothing happened after I beat the last level, and it felt a bit anticlimactic. Really great job on this, though.
Hi python-b5!!! Thank you so much for playing our game and your comment! We're really glad you enjoyed the game. And yes, we are discussing about what should happen after the last level, and we are sure there are still a lot of things we can do. Thank you for your suggestion!
dude, I can't get past the third level. But still, this is so well-executed and have a excellent idea!
Hi Ageme!!! Thanks for playing our game and your comment! We really appreciate your patience and yes, through our playtesting we are sure that from the third level players should be feeling kinda difficult, so don't feel pressed if you can't get over it!! As developers we don't want to share the general methodology but we are sure that if you get over the third level, you should find the trick! XD
game is outrageously polished, very cool. Incredible work !
really cool stuff, thanks for the good tutorial
This is marvelous. The mechanics fit the theme and is set in an adorable environment: peaceful and colourful. The only downside might lie with the background or concept, since I would really enjoy games of unique stories. But this is already perfect for a 48-hour game.
Fantastic entry. Original take on the theme, well-designed and polished look. The in-game tutorials are a great touch and explain the mechanics very well. The only downside with this concept is that it will get difficult very fast, and though I got better at calculating my steps backwards, I think there's just a limit to how well humans can remember/envision these things (or perhaps I just suck at it). If you were to develop this further, that is something to take into mind, at least. For a 48 hour game jam entry, however, I love what this brings. Max votes from me!
Hi there!!! First of all thank you so much for playing our game and your comment. We totally agree with your opinion about how human remember things, and we are trying to make the UI more helpful for help people remember those details - currently the move option decks on both sides seem to work at some extend but some may find it really hard to understand and notice. Thank you for your suggestion and we will definitely work harder on the interactions!
Thinking about it now, I wonder if it'd work to just show the chosen moves (with or without subsequent reversing moves) directly on the tiles (i.e. how they will play out) when you press down keys, instead of separately at the side. That shouldn't necessarily make it too easy, as the puzzle is figuring out the path, not how good you are at remembering your moves. If the memory-hurdle is reduced, you may even be able to ramp up the difficulty of the path-finding puzzles themselves. Just some thoughts, but it'd need testing. Hope you will continue working on the game, it has great potential.
HI!!! Yes, someone on the other comment also suggested us to drag and drop the directions directly to the tiles, and we are testing if this works - we don't want to make it too trivial for finding the path, because geometrically without the reverse item the solution could be very easy to found if you can visually see the route. And thank you for the encouragement, we will definitely keep working on this!!
Such a cool puzzle game. Some levels were not easy but it's really fun when you get it. Really like the mood too !
Brain Melting! such a cool puzzle for two days! I got stuck on the third last level but I will be going back to it!
This is amazing!!! Such a great concept, and it almost looks like a finished game for the time. It did glitch a couple times for me, but overall I love the game. The art is my favorite part. Incredible that this was made in 2 days!!! The only thing I don't like is that it hurt my brain to play too long 🤣.
Love the modeling and music in the background it really matches the vibe. The idea is fantastic and the ui to show how my moves will go is a great addition!
