How does your game fit the theme?
In the game, one has to mine and free tetrominoes in order to proceed. We are creating the blocks that a Tetris player would use.
Did your team create the vast majority of the art during the 48 hours?

Great feel behind the digging created by the sounds and vibrating character. Once I found out what caused blocks to get picked up, it became an entrenching challenge! Look for pieces that are more vertical than horizontal, and you'll get farther. It's a great, quick game!
I understand the concept but in practice I don't see how those tiles get used. Maybe if we saw which tile the player needed and we had to rush to go get it, as well as the next 2 or 3 tiles, then is more of a race to get the right tiles before time runs out?
The tiles don't get used, they give you a score :) 48 hours was a little short to implement another "side" where you get to use the tetris blocks and there's little to no benefit to writing a tetris bot that uses the extracted blots. I was considering a "bounty" system where you needed to hunt the correct block, it was one of the first concept ideas, but not way to make it challenging enough. Thanks for the valuable feedback though !
My tired brain definitely didn't understand the goal at first, but I had a blast playing it either way, and imo that's a sign of a very accessible game lol
When I did start trying to play it correctly, I realized that it was pretty difficult to play well, but it was still really fun! Goodluck in the jam!
Excellent design and focus on the primary gameplay loop. The game looks really cute and feels juicy and polished. If I have to nitpick, I would say: make the jump a bit more snappy
Top tier submission. Congratz.
Thank you for the valuable feedback ! I'll take this to the post-jam version and add a timer to the jumping mechanics to ignore buildup before jumping up if not held down for .1 seconds... Already building the code in my head :p Much appreciated !
Interesting game, keep going.
As a big fan of puzzle platformer, I really enjoyed your idea! The concept is cool and you did enough polish to make it clean. Nice work!
I am not sure how to play, I even watched your youtube video but I cant find out... its asdw and space right? How to I get trough the top border?
Use the arrow keys to push yourself into the blocks! Thank you for that comment, I'll see if I can add a proper infograph on it :) Hope you'll consider playing it again?
I tried again, ^^ somehow the controlls are really weird I could not drill down with only arrow down, I had to use at least down and left or right.... strange ^^ my friend was able to play it perfectly. Maybe it is me ^^
Bombastic game! Couldn't make it into the rankings, maybe I'll do better in the rumored post-jam (kind of :D ) version
Whelp I'm not officially allowed to confirm nor deny that as long as the jam and or voting is still underway, but there might maybe be a potential version that is password locked, solely for people that watched my development process on stream. Forge the iron while it's hot they say ^-^ But no official release, I don't want to get disqualified, nor do I want people to get biased. This version works pretty much as intended (minus the listed bugs on the itch page).
IN CONCLUSION YOUR HONOR... Thank you so much for playing, I'm so thankful to have spotted your stream :D
Fun idea!
Thank you ! There probably are multiple games with the same premise, but I hope my execution is satisfying :)
As someone who wasted half a day to implement an online leaderboard in their game and still failed :( You get 10/10 just for achieving that xD. I really liked the sound effects and breaking blocks was somewhat satisfying.
The leaderboard is really fun ! I'm using Leaderboard Creator by Danial Jumagaliyev (itch.io) <-- really, keep hold of it ;) Thank you for playing !
Love a leaderboard in a game jam! The sound was really well done and a cool concept overall. Easy to say a bit of polish and it's great, but game jams aren't for polishing- so you did great :D
Oh as I mentionned above, I'm using Leaderboard Creator by Danial Jumagaliyev (itch.io) Thank you for playing !
Really cool and original concept. It becomes quite addictive quickly. The leaderboard is a great addition. With slightly more polished graphics, it could become a great mobile game. Good job!
Thank you !
super cool!
Really cool concept! It was a bit hard to understand at first but when you get it, the combos are really satisfying!
Thank you for playing ! I've tried to fix this in the post-jam version, I've worked with additional colors and a negative "break" effect when you damage a tetromino block, to complement the stars you get when a tetromino is extracted. Thanks for the suggestion !
I do really like the leaderboard even if I didnt manage to get on it
The leaderboard is a great move!
Fun and addictive, loved the sound design and music!
Very cute and adictiv
Oddly satisfying
Nice Game. Really enjoyed it. I even made it to the Scoreboard:)
