Super addicting game! I really like how you have to balance out breaking single blocks and tetrominoes, it's a really enjoyable risk-reward mechanic that's very well implemented. I love the outer space theme as well, the art and little sound effects are great! I think the controls took a bit to get the hang of, especially the jumping mechanic, but it became a very frantic scramble to dig once I learned them. I don't really see how it ties into the theme, but it's a really clever game nonetheless. Well done!

What a cool game! Reverse tetris by way of digging through the stack is a really neat idea.

It took me a minute to get the gist of things, but once I started to understand, it became really satisfying to play. Hitting combos feels especially delightful.

I did struggle a little to keep track of my energy - obviously that's partly on me for playing bad! But some kinda visual and/or audio indicator would've felt really helpful to let you know when you're close to running out without having to take your eyes off the action.

The core concept here has legs for days, and I really enjoyed it!

Really well done! I can tell that there was a great amount of effort put in this game, it's so polished and the gameplay is so fun! I can't wait to play the mobile version of it, my only issue was I thought I could move with WASD but since you'll just release it on mobile it's fine (I should've read the itch).

Here's my final score! :D

Nice clear art style. Would nice for an in-game tutorial as the controls felt hard to catch. Stilla good looking game for a 48hr jam.

Feel free to hop into my game as well and share your thoughts and ratings if you have the time

Cool game, next time  make the controls a little bit more clear.

really charming game! graphics is really cute and consistent (although the settings menu is kinda hard to see with the white bg). I managed 5th on leaderboards after a few runs \o/

im glad to see you were already working on mobile version on your stream!

This is a super cool idea and probably one of the most creative theme interpretation that I've seen this jam, even though it was not super obvious at first how it connects to the theme for me. I really liked the presentation of the game, especially the graphics look super clean. Gameplay-wise it is working smooth and controls well. I am not going to chase the highscores from the table though, I will have to pass on that as I am simply not really good at the game :D

This game is just so addicting :D I loved playing it, and it actually is pretty difficult to play well. I loved it a lot. Add some refinements to it and you'll have a ready-to-release arcade game :) It was a bit difficult gauging how many times I had to hit certain dark blocks, maybe adding some kind of indicator (breaking sprite or numbers) would be really nice. Other than that, an amazing submission.

Great submission! Had a bug (purely due to user error though) where I tried putting the game in fullscreen with Alt+Enter, which broke the layout and then couldn't put it back at the default resolution, so sadly it was a bit broken but it's totally my fault.
Nonetheless really nice game, the mechanics are pretty unique and it's awesome that you managed to put a scoreboard in there! Only thing it kinda lacks is on the visual side but I've seen on stream that you'll fix that for the post jam version.
Great job!

Pretty nice idea. It was pretty fun trying to find next best block to dig through for the best amount of tetris blocks, great high score game design. Also visualse and sfx are very responsive. Overall, great job!

Very nice idea and mechanic! Feedbacks are also very good! This could become a game on mobile, it would be very fun!!!

This is really nice! I could see it work on mobile!

Great job, i really enjoy how it looks when pieces are fished up. I wasn't able to jump for some reason a lot of the time but worked out pretty well regardless

i love the game! had a lot of fun with it, didn't put 5 stars on presentation because i cannot re size the windows and it wasn't at the size of my first screen so had to play on it on my second screen sadly, but other than that the game was really good and had fun playing it! i like the little alien player haha!, if i can say something to make the game better, add the colro bloc when they are "inactive" but a little darkened and then with emissive color when they are "activated". overal great game ! 5, 5, 4

Great game! I love the cute art style,  and love the simple but fascinating operation. Sometimes I'm not sure why some blocks will automatically change color and be pulled to the top. Everything else is great, and I like the bouncing and smooth control feedback when digging. Really enjoyed it.

Interesting game! I scored 20k+ without knowing what I was doing. (Sometimes i couldn't jump) Art and sounds looking good but presentation not so good.

Heeey thanks for playing :D Can you elaborate a bit on the presentation? I'd love getting feedback so I can improve on it :)

It can be a design, art, menu or interface that looks good to people.

Great game, very addictive. Enjoyed a lot the graphics and the idea. I would suggest to add an hp bar to the blocks but many said this already in the stream. Well done. Amazing work.

Haha really addicting game! Great job and a gameplay with a nice feeling to it!

I definitely see potential on this!

Great jam submission! Congrats and greetings from the stream haha! :D (I have way too much fun in this whole game jam community!)

Great feel behind the digging created by the sounds and vibrating character.  Once I found out what caused blocks to get picked up, it became an entrenching challenge!  Look for pieces that are more vertical than horizontal, and you'll get farther.  It's a great, quick game!

I understand the concept but in practice I don't see how those tiles get used. Maybe if we saw which tile the player needed and we had to rush to go get it, as well as the next 2 or 3 tiles, then is more of a race to get the right tiles before time runs out?

Developer

The tiles don't get used, they give you a score :) 48 hours was a little short to implement another "side" where you get to use the tetris blocks and there's little to no benefit to writing a tetris bot that uses the extracted blots. I was considering a "bounty" system where you needed to hunt the correct block, it was one of the first concept ideas, but not way to make it challenging enough. Thanks for the valuable feedback though !
