Beautiful art. Unfortunately couldn't seem to get the game to load (Safari, MacOS). I got this error: "Error
The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing:
Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)
SharedArrayBuffer - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)"
Looks like most others have no issue so it may be a problem on my end, not sure.
oh, sorry to hear that :( i am not sure, but possibly it is because the game was made in Godot and something there triggers this kind of behavior.
we had to turn on an experimental setting on itch.io so it worked of Windows (Chrome), but apparently it didn't fix the problem for Mac. thank you for mentioning the problem!
It was a good experience, even if at the start too many info were given to me before i could play my first move (talking about the guide that I've read entirely).
But how can i complain ? I feel like we did the same with our game (too much things happening) so i think our games need poeple to jump into it and not leave at the first 30 secondes of gameplay.
yeahh i feel your pain!
we didn't have much time to execute a proper tutorial and give information in small portions so that the player wasn't overwhelmed by it. will definitely try to make it better after the game jam :)
but i am grateful you read the whole guide! thank for the feedback, it really helps us get better :)
Of course i read it ! I, myself have made a pretty complicated game so since i would like poeple to read it, i always read everything but overall it was really plaisant experience, i know that i've talk about the bad things more than good one's but trust me it was good to play !!
bad things help us improve, so that's sometimes better than the good ones <3
Cute game with a simple execution. Good going!
thank you!
Great art and music! Unfortunately I let Mr. Whiskers be beaten by the undead once but I really liked the role of being the quest giver. Good job with introducing new mechanics over time!
thank you! Mr Whiskers is tough, so he wouldn't get so easily scared by one bad encounter with the undead :D
That was a really cute game -- It was fun to play! I thought that all of the art was really cute. (I think Mr. Whiskers is my favorite).
Good job getting it done in 48 hours!
haha MrWhiskers is happy to hear that ^_^
thank u!
This is a really awesome game, that fits the theme wonderfully! Lovely artwork too! Nice job!
thank you for the feedback :)
The idea is original! I could see this as a full-blown game with a few more mechanics added. The interface could be simplified a lot, though.
thank you!
yeah, we had a simpler interface in mind, but ran out of time :) will try to implement it later!
cute graphics, nice idea, but not as fun as I would hope
Very chill and loved the art style. I thought it was pretty satisfying to get the quests correct based on the information you've learned, always loved those kinds of games.
thanks for the feedback!
Very cool concept and a cute artstyle, I like it!
thank you :)
It's like Papers Please, except much easier and much more upbeat. This could make a very nice full game!
Thank you! Papers please was one of our inspiration sources :)
Frog wearing a wizard hat? That's a 5 star presentation from me
haha thanks!
It's such a cozy game! I adore the art and characters, especially the mushroom cleric! I will admit that there's a LOT of nuance involved in making the right decision, which I am not super sure about. I think the current system would be pretty great in a fully fleshed out game, which I would LOVE to see! Otherwise, I think slightly simplifying it, or alternatively adding a time limit per guest could make things very interesting! But overall I love it!
Thank you for the feedback!
Yeah, we had an idea to add a time limit at first, but decided it would be too much for a small game :)
Initially the instructions on where to look for the hints should be more obvious (like pop up windows), but we didn’t have enough time to implement that. Will try to add these after game jam ends!
I aint gonna lie my man, there is a lot of reading in this one lol.
With that being said, its super adorable. The artwork you put together for the many questers that show up is incredible. Every one has so much personality about them. The questing mechanic was great, it kept me engaged as I kept seeking out the keys to which quest was for the adventurer, almost reminds me of a puzzle game.
Really impressive stuff, I would actually love to see this expanded upon into even more. There's a really solid base here.
PS: Great to see another Godot User :). Just curious, did you build this in 3 or 4?
Thank you so much for your feedback!
We are planning to polish and finish this game in the future :)
Regarding Godot - I've build it in the latest 4.1 version
this is so cute, the game is really cozy and I was really relaxed while playing it ! :)
also the art is amazing!
the music was calming, but it stopped at one point and continued only when a day past.
good job!
Thank you!
Oh it’s a good point about music, we didn’t check what happens if the track stops :D will fix it!
Very cool!
I loved the concept
I loved this idea. the art style was fantastic and the characters were interesting. I could defininetly see this being tuned into a full game, i'd certainly play it.
thank you :)
Really love the idea and a neat twist on the theme! If you ever come back to this the only thing I can think to recommend would be an option for dyslexic friendly font but really love the gameplay and vibe!
thank you! we didn't have much time to choose the fonts during the Gamejam, will definitely look into it!
Loved playing through this! the art-style is so wholesome and I loved the silly characters! The creative role reversal of being the quest giver was a very good take on the theme!
I would definitely play through a full-game version of this :]
thank you so much ^_^
