Really cool game, love it :)

I enjoyed playing the game at the beginning. Then got tired of the bugs and didn't finish. I hope you'll make a post-jam fix, would love to play!

A solid game all around! I liked the sketchy art style, and the idea of faking an identity was pretty cool. However, the game is pretty buggy, and I softlocked myself in dialogue a few times. The dialogue was also sometimes bugged out and showed the wrong thing, or sometimes showed dialogue spoken by the wrong person. But thats probably because of the short jam limitations, and overall this game is pretty damn good!

I really like the concept, given this is a 48 hour game it's amazing what you've accomplished. There's a bug talking with the fortune teller, but otherwise I had a good time with it! Definitely didn't catch the date part until I looked at the other reviews tho. I can see this turned into a bigger game with more intricate puzzles with pattern finding (and tutorials) !

The art is amazing and the game was pretty interesting too. Would definetly force the players to think hard and forge papers. The music was nice, but a little loud and made it hard to concentrate though.

Interesting concept and mechanics!

Xavier DeMarcus could not pass the border. But why? Like everything looked valid. He is a certified cloth designer and works as a janitor in the company Nike. What is wrong with that? His birth date was very good too, 09-11-2001. Weird.

I hope you looked at the calendar, because the game took place 40 years before your fake persona is born 😂

Well maybe their calender is wrong not mine, that is a possibility

Amazing Game! I love the concept although I still didn't figure out how to pass the border but I might as well keep on trying. Also, the art and music go really well together enhancing the experience even further. Very nicely done, Great Job!

Wow, the presentation is incredible! It creates a great atmosphere! Unfortunately some bugs with the dialogs prevents me from getting too far but I'd love to test a full version of this game

Did we just create  the subgenre of "Comma, Please" games ? Is that a thing now ?

Cool concept, and I really dig the jazzy soundtracks and the early-to-mid XX century setting, but the game seems a bit buggy... Some dialogues end before I can read them, and when talking to the Poker Dealer, an empty choice button appears and soft locks the game.

I look forward to seeing the game polished up a bit!

Love the idea, not for me  but really cool! The music loop was a little short and could have used a little more variance inside of it. I like  the interface but  wish it was a little bigger. Either way great work and well done, love how  it fits with the theme!

Great visuals!
but no matter what i try i can't seem to get the passport code to be valid,
i think the format is LB (for lizetbourg), followed by the expiery date, followed by the first 3 letters of the name.
am i getting something wrong?

Developer

Thanks for playing! Hint: its not the expiry date, but rather the birth date in the format of MMDDYY.

Submitted

oh, i guess i was confused since Akechi's passport uses the expirery date for it's code

Submitted

oh the game seems to glitch, the border control says "can you spell out your" and then the text box dissapears, softlocking the game, i tried twice and it happened both times

Great!! Such a unique take on the theme, and a classic indie game. A bit confusing at first, but this is a fantastic submission
