How does your game fit the theme?
In this platformer you're climbing (scale) up the map. Additionally you have your trusty folding-stick (scale) to measure out the map.

The controls are a bit clunky and you can get stuck quite easily but it's a really unique concept that I think can easily be expanded upon and become a legit game. Something to connect us to the world and why the measurements are needed, also a bit of controls re-work and it will be prefect. Very original idea, great job!

I also think with some more brain juice, there could be a potential game. At first I thought of making a math game, where you need to measure the sides and calculate the area of the map :'D But for that to be good, the controls really need to feel better :D

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! :3

Very original idea! The controls are a bit buggy however, it looks like if you press a button for too long it's not registered as input. Also I found quite time consuming having to retract everything just to create the same mirrored shape. I think making the ruler flip with the character would speed up things quite a bit and make everything flow better.

Developer

You are right about holding the button to long. It's a side effect of implemented the "hold to destroy" action. Should have fiddles around with the settings more or put the destroy all on another button. And I do get that mirroring the scale is annoying. Personally the scale controls needs lots of improvements :'D

Thanks for playing!

Creativity is so good on the theme here! I had a lot of fun playing this :)

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm happy that the theme went through!

The idea is brilliant, although the controls are a bit buggy. Good job!

Developer

You don't know how much problems I had with that scale and their collision detection :'D I wish the controls of that would have turned out better, but maybe next time :P Thanks for playing!

This is an amazing idea and a lovely spin on the theme! I really like the result.

I think some of the controls could be a bit more polished, but those are minor details imo. (I'd love to turn while holding the scale, or that the scale doesn't retract after jumping).

I also like the art which is perfectly reasonable and fitting for this type of game

All in all a very nice game.

Developer

I do see why rebuilding the scale is cumbersome. And I really tried to make the scale more user friendly, but I just couldn't manage it in the time qwq.
Thanks for playing and the nice word!

Would it be more convenient if the cells for scaling were visually divided so that it would be possible to understand which platform should be made?
clever idea very like it

Developer

How do you mean, that you can see the grid? Or do mean which blocks to measure? Because you should only measure the red blocks. Unfortunately I could not implemented the explanation for that in the game.

Thanks for playing! :D

A bit difficult to use the scale, which make the game a bit less fun (maybe adding sound effects and music would also help to make it more enjoyable), but otherwise the idea is really great and interesting.

Yeah, I understand the struggle and I'm not really happy how the scale turned out. But I wasn't able to get it better with my current unity-skills and the time constraint. Thanks for playing and giving feedback!

I found it was really well maid for a 2nd game only
